Rumor was McDonalds, but they just remodeled their old building. Don’t think that is happening

Jason's/COVID update. Went to one in Charleston last week. Salad bar wide open again, EXCEPT . . . only one trip and you have to use gloves to serve yourself. Plus then gave us small napkins to push the soft drink dispenser drink buttons.

New eatery in the old Hooters building in WM. Heard the same thing is going in one of the Ruston shut down spots. The one in WM has lots of vehicles in the lot. Have not tried it yet.

Heard some good comments on the sports bar at old Hooters.

1) What is going on the SW corner of Celebrity and 33? Just this week they tore down the building that was there. Had heard a long time ago a new McDonald’s but just read on here they remodeled the old one so must not be that. 2) Also, what else are they building on the north side of the new Exxon at interstate. 3) Lol, one more question, what is going between SS office and Fastenal’s on East Kentucky?

The eating establishments oughta be busting at the seams (West Monroe Visitors Bureau and City Sales Tax Collections) thanks you for their expected business bump)

This weekend:
(1) NCAA Regional
(2) 50-team youth travel ball tournament at Ruston youth complex.

its my understanding they have a pretty huge volleyball tourney already scheduled for late august, early sept, at this facility with many south louisiana teams lined up. I"m just ready for the north louisiana boating and outdoor show to be there, maybe, i hope :)

I remember working the concessions at the TAC in early 2000's for the Louisiana Sportsman Show. They had boats/atv/vendors all along the concourse. Displays on the floor. It brings a lot of people.

Ronnie Walker is doing a great job as Mayor.

Would love to see Ruston grow upward to 30-40k population. That would really transform the city.
