Everything that was viable was scrapped - that's why insides were gutted for reclamation

Brick and mortar will be crushed and used as road base and wash fill - there is a HUGE secondary market for this

This, very little from building/industrial demo is truly landfilled anymore, demo companies make most of their profit off of the scrap.

It was opened the fall of 1968. I was one of the first occupants that fall. If you had a time capsule, you would have heard "Time has come today" by the Chambers Brothers or "Hello I Love You" by the Doors. Good times back then!! So sorry to see the old lady go. The same for Caruthers when it goes as I lived there 1.5 years.
