Enjoy the crap you get from ULL folks--that's all they have to offer! Too bad as a ULM fan you won't get to pop your head up very often (sorry; couldn't help it).
I assume all posters are women until they state otherwise.

thats a little disturbing, but whatever excites you I guess........ and ULL fans think buying alot of tickets for a saturday game in the biggest party city around in an indoor stadium 2 hours away proves they deserve to be in a bigger conference, but they averaged like 22,000 at home this year......:icon_razz:

Question - I have read several times that we refuse to play northeast in football. The question is, didn't we offer to play them in a regular season game and they turned it down? I'm just wondering if the refusing to play actually goes both ways if that is the case.

if so that's the first i've heard of it... I know Tech has had it's sights football-wise alot higher the last 20 years but I still think it's a win-win for everybody involved....neither school has an athletic budget as big as it would like and the game would sell out every year.........

because people want it more now that it's gone away. If it didn't sell out it would be close. Probably both team's most attended home game of the year
Re: Email from Missy Setters
We had a standing offer to play ulm in Ruston any year they wanted. Oakes said it at every opportunity. ulm refused without a return trip to monroe. End of story until it was spun that we refused to play them at all. I guess we did refuse to play in funroe, but they were offered a game in Ruston anytime they wanted it.

The game would sell out the first time and maybe the second, but history has proven the attendance tapers off. And unless I am wrong, Bobby Staub is the one holding everything up with him saying a while back that ULM would not schedule Tech in anything unless a football game is played. Also, I believe the game was offered but in Ruston and ULM wanted it in Monroe.

Disturbing...that I assume all posters are women? I find it a little disturbing that you think that "excites" me. Careful with your assumptions, cajunflo.
I see supermel has confirmed his "manhood" such as it is. Not buying it.

Nah, NLU brought only about 200 to JAS the last time they played us. They're a total joke. No thanks!

No, it will not. ULM brings ZERO fan base to Ruston. Remember the last time we played in Ruston? I do and there were MAYBE 250 ULM fans there. When we last played in Monroe, we outnumbered them 2 to 1.
The majority of ULM's fan base likes to tailgate in the Grove, get drunk as hell, turn on the tv and direct tv, sit back and watch the LSU game.
ULM fans are cheap........
.....until it comes to LSU then they will spend the money for merchandise and tickets.
And finally, I ask this.....how many of you have been to an actual ULM game? I'll go if Tech is playing on the road and not at the same time. The acutal butts in the stands is overstaded by a significant margin......significant. I have been in that stadium in the 3rd quarter of a game and there were less than 1,000 people there.
The only variance to that statement would be Baylor.....where ULM begged a fortune 500 company to send their employees for the night, sold $5 tickets and gave away tens of thousands of dollars in free tickets.
