Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
We will not beat USM. We are so bad this year. It's so boring watching the Dwags! I just hope we beat WKU.
Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
Ugly wins > losses
It’s boring and it’s ugly, but it beats losing.
Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
Did anybody notice that on the last interception by Scott, our own guy tackled Scott? The camera was too close to tell if he had an open field so he could score. Something fishy about this game!

I did, that was confusing. He was about to run into a wall, probably couldn't have scored, but who knows?
Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
That was some really ugly boring football. All that matters is that we won, but USM has me worried. They already have some voodoo over us in a good year. This will be a surprise win, if we were to pull it out. I can't bet against the Dogs, though, so we pull off a miracle in Mississippi this weekend!!!! Something clicks??????????
Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
We have no way of knowing anything about how our quarterback will play, we have a very good defense and a sporadic offense so we can win there but we will be put through the wringer watching the game . This team has grit so I think we have a close win.

Just a guess, but I think USM will be favored by 3 or so.

They played UAB down to the wire in OT. We HAVE to pick up on offense, if we want to have a chance in this one. Defense is fine right now.

That happened right in front of me. The int sealed the game, no need to score (or keep running and risk a fumble). It didn’t look like he would have been able to run it back anyway, but going down (voluntarily or otherwise) was the right move there.

Yes, it was smart football by a smart football player. Who was it that tackled him?

Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
Post-game offense notes...

• Quarterback J’Mar Smith went 21-for-34 for 314 passing yards and one touchdown. It marked his fourth 300+ passing game of the season and the seventh of his career. The seven 300+ games are now tied with Terry Bradshaw for the seventh most in program history.
• With his touchdown pass, J’Mar Smith now has 31 for his career which is tied for the 10th most in program history.
• Running back Jaqwis Dancy had 15 carries for a team-high 80 yards to go along with a career-high three rushing touchdowns. He now has a team-high nine touchdowns on the season while becoming the first Bulldog to rush for three scores since Boston Scott did it at Rice last season.
• Wide receiver Adrian Hardy posted a career-tying 10 receptions (on 10 targets) for 160 receiving yards. It marked the third time this season Hardy has recorded 100+ receiving yards in a single game. He now has 817 total receiving yards this season.
• Adrian Hardy reeled in a 49-yard reception, marking his fourth catch of the season of 40+ yards.
• Wide receiver Teddy Veal hauled in five catches, upping his reception total to a team-high 55 this season.
• Wide receiver Wayne Toussant caught his first reception as a Bulldog. The freshman reeled in a 44-yard catch in the fourth quarter.
Re: 11/10: Rice Game (RED OUT)
We are the only team to score less than 30 on Rice other than UTSA.
I did not include SWAC team Prarie View who seems to have a similar offense to ours based on them scoring 28.
This was another REALLY bad team we struggled with last night.

There you go again, inserting those pesky facts.
