Oh I agree little buddy. He would still be an assistant somewhere, if we hadn't hired him. If he wasn't Lou's son he would be a used car salesman. He destroyed the USF program, gets his ass fired and we immediately hire him. This guy just plain sucks! The only reason I am somewhat okay with him still being here is I shudder to think who our brain trust might hire next.

I 100% agree. As much as I dislike some of Holtz’s coaching it could be a lot worse.

UTSA hired Jeff Traylor to be their new HC. He was on Chad Morris's staff at USM and Arkansas. Big time Texas recruiter.

Per local news source in Tyler: Former Gilmer HS Buckeyes HC Jeff Traylor has agreed to be next HC at UTSA. Traylor won 3 state titles at Gilmer with overall 176-26 record.
Spent time at UT Austin and Univ of Arkansas as assistant.

SMU, not USM.

They are following the LSU model - except they hired an O-line coach instead of a D-line coach...

But I don't see a Joe B on the Pigs roster -

That resume sounds a lot like Art Briles' when he transitioned from high school to college coaching.

I think the Pittman hire is a good hire for Arkansas. He’s an Arkansas guy, and he’s widely known as one of the elite recruiting guys in the south. If he can pick good coordinators, I think he can be successful there.

While the debate rages on about J'Mar being the GOAT. And trashing Amik for skipping his senior year and maybe even a worthless bowl game (which could propel him up two rounds in the NFL draft, if he does leave, good grief), there is great news out of Florida. Willie Taggart is going to coach FAU. Nothing like the best team in the conference hiring a coach with a lifetime losing record who just got fired. Ten seasons as a head coach, zero conference championships.

Colorado State hires another fired coach, Steve Addazio, late of Boston College.

Maybe if Skip leaves, we can hire Bobby Wilder, Chad Morris, or Bob Davie.

Aranda was offered the UNLV job...we'd see him next year if he takes it.
