I said it would be "more" than just a physical barrier. So, clearly, I was stating it would have an effect on border security in actuality, in addition to being a symbol. The actual effects is per border control agents who actually work the Mexican border on a daily basis. They are the biggest advocates for The Wall.

I heard it said, don't remember where, that 35,000 Americans die every year from illegal drugs that enter the US across the southern border. I might have heard that wrong. But, regardless, there is some number of Americans who die as result from drugs entering from Mexico. Personally, while I might say, oh, that's terrible, really....I don't care that much. I figure if people are stupid enough to kill themselves via drugs, who am I to have an opinion on that?

BUT! maybe you care. Certainly if you're a good lib... a caring, good-hearted lib, shouldn't you care?

AND! what about the known cases of human trafficking? AND! what about the reported 33% of women (and some girls) in these caravans and others hiring coyotes, who are raped and sexually assaulted. Do you care about that?

Maybe you libs just don't give a rat's azz about any of that. It seems you don't.

Those drugs come through ports of entry. The wall has nothing to do with it.

Well, that's not what was said recently. Drugs enter this country via many avenues. Ports of entry have been so tightly governed, I bet less than 5% of drugs that make it to the streets enter that way. A lot of drugs come via boats, into Florida and Texas, out of South America. The Coast Guard catches a lot of that, but not all of it. And some of it enters disguised as legit products, and the DEA catches a lot of that, but not all of it.

Heretofore, very little crossing the Mexican border was being interdicted. A wall would help.

DEA says it is the “vast majority” of drugs that enter through ports of entry. In addition, the fentanyl is coming from China.

He has also asked to beef up security at the ports with more agents. The Democrats don't want more agents. They want open borders. Do you find that funny too?
