The folks that own Calhoun Grocery are opening at the old Fred’s. I will be shopping there as much as I can. I want to be sure the little guy survives if I can help it. Brookshires will be fine either way.

Any idea what is going in at the old Raceway/racetrack whatever it was on 33?

Remodel and reopening. It was set for the first but alcohol license is delayed.

Me again playing 20 questions. I noticed they are tearing down or doing a gut job on Applebee’s. Any idea what is going there? Any news on the Ryan’s location? Or the lot south of the new Popeye’s on 33?

someone on Ruston Rants said that a Chase bank is going in where Applebee's used to be
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
After they just tore the one they had there down and didn’t rebuild after the tornado? Regretted that decision? Seems odd, but i miss the old one and having to go downtown, so fine by me.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Brister's still open? I'm really wanting to get a Scatterload on sourdough while in town this weekend.

I noticed at West Monroe's Well Road we got a QT opening up across from the remodeled/enlarged Circle K. Looks like the QT is just like the ones in BC/Shreveport Very nice for travelers.
Ol' Buccee's making the old standbys up and down I-20 up their game.. . . even though Sunday afternoon gas was $2.35/gal at Terrell Buccee's and $2.04 at Greenwood QT.

I wonder what they are building in WM where the old golf course used to be?

City of West Monroe doesn't own that side of N. 7th. Yeah, "they" need to do something . . . for several years now since the Safeway folded.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
QT is a good addition. Nicer gas stations are few and far between in LA and MS. Wish Buc-cee’s would move in somewhere around Vicksburg
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Saw a sign at the northeast corner of Hwy 33 & E. Kentucky/Burgessville that says a Bojangles Chicken is coming soon. Great. Like we need ANOTHER friggin chicken joint in Ruston. I assumed that Brookshires had purchased that entire corner. I'm sure they're sub-dividing.
