Brookshires doesnt own anything around that corner, according to the assessor map. they have the property north of there on west side of 33, just north of Timberline Court where you turn in to go to Karl's apartments.

That is correct. I agree we do not need another chicken place. Italian, seafood, or anything else besides chicken and Tex mex

I stand corrected. I knew they purchased something near that intersection, just not the exact location.

Always enjoyed eating Bojangles when I visited North Carolina. Good service, great chicken, biscuits always fresh and off the chain.
I'm actually excited to have them going head-to-head with Popeyes.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
it's probably true about Bojangles since I've heard Monroe is also getting one as well
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
I just noticed that Scott's seafood place on highway 33 has closed. They've taken down all of their signs. I guess when Landry's opened back up, it finished them off.

I agree that Landry’s probably contributed, but I’m not sure why. I never liked their food. Scott’s was pretty good. Hate to see them close. The Bond family is good people.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Losing Scott’s hurts.
That said, it has been many years since I ate there - still remember the meal - a Friday night buffet fit for a king.

Where is taco bandido going to be? Also, we have a new grocery store on Farmerville already but don’t see a lot of activity. Anybody go there or know why they don’t seem to have a lot of business? I think advertising might help. Seems like a well-kept secret.

I don't know why it's not more popular but I'm not complaining, it's clean. The meat selection from their butcher is great.
Same folks that opened Calhoun Grocery iirc
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Prices are higher than Super 1. I go there for single items, but not a whole grocery list. Occasionally their meat prices will be better than Super 1.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Golden Corral (never went and probably never will) is opening back up in the same location in WM.
