Over 300,000 people age 65 and older will break a hip this year. Over 1/3 of those will die within one year.
That's real life too, but they are old. Being old and dying only matters if you die WITH China Virus.
Nope. Just a little research after both parents have suffered hip fractures. Daddy almost lasted 7 months after his fall. Mom is recovering well so far. The first thing the Docs tell you when you give the nod for surgery is the survival rate.
Over 100K will die each year from hip fractures. Of course if they happen to come down with China Virus, that will be listed as cause of death and it will be Bad Orange Man's fault.
Doesn’t explain the “excess deaths” this year. Remember your favorite data point from April? Turns out when you project over the period of time where people were dying of COVID in large numbers (not just halfway into April), we see lots of more deaths than normal.

This is why the experts think that COVID deaths are actually being undercounted.
It's always some unknown "expert" who says these things.
The numbers are up. I never said they were not, but not where they are being reported.
My true life analogy never applied to the over reporting of deaths. It applied to the fear mongers out there like turbodawg who want to stay hunkered down until Trump wins again and the real destruction from your people will begin.

So...we stop in Alamoso, Colorado to get a bite to eat. Nice little cafe. Sign says to wear masks until you are seated. We follow the guidance, sit down and the fellow at the booth counter-corner says, "ain't it ridiculous, have to wear a mask to walk 15 feet then you can take it off." I nod and say, "Yep, be glad when this China virus is behind us." Well! OMG! this long-haired, freaky-looking dude glares at me and says to his "partner,"(loudly) "must be a Trumpster, why call it the 'China virus?' My wife kicks me under the table and says, "let it go." So, I glare back, "Because that's exactly what it is, the China virus. Started in China, they had the WHO cover for them..." by then the fellow across the aisle turns and says, "That's right, it all started in China." (I think his wife was kicking him too.)
Well! the freaky dude says, "You don't know that. I heard Trump released it..." before he could finish about three others, now listening, burst into laughter. Yeah right, Trump released a virus in China so it would find its way here and wreck one of the best economies in US history just to hinder his re-election bid. Makes perfect sense...:icon_roll: His weak-azz position destroyed, the freaky dude says, "well, it's still not nice, serves no purpose, to call it the China virus." Others started naming, the German measles, the Spanish Flu, the Hong Kong Flu, the Russian Flu, all pandemics that caused much grief around the world.
So, we ordered, and ate, and exchanged glares with the freaky dude. He and his "significant other" left before we did. BTW, ever see the Bond film, Diamonds are Forever? Remember the gay assassins...these two losers looked like them!
Another BTW...we were in Durango today, and we stopped at a gift shop...my wife and I both dutifully wearing our masks, although there were some at the shopping mini-mall, in the parking lot, without masks. Two women, obviously very liberal (I can tell these things at a glance), were drinking coffee at an outside table, sees me with my mask on and says, "right on, brother!" I shot her a thumbs up. I guess we're "brothers and sisters" in the whole mask-wearing thingy. My wife, who had forgotten her purse and was only now walking up, got a "good job, sister!" from them. We go into the shop and my wife pauses to watch them..."I wanted to see if they were drinking coffee thru their masks." I laughed.

This is going to get much worse I would think. 78,761 new cases in 24 hours
India surpasses US for highest single-day rise in Covid-19 cases
30 August 2020
India has set a record for the world's highest single-day increase in coronavirus cases.
The nation, the world's third-most infected, on Sunday reported 78,761 new cases in 24 hours, passing the number posted in the US on 17 July.
The rise comes as the government continues to lift restrictions to try to boost an economy that lost millions of jobs when the virus hit in March.
An upsurge of Covid-19 in many rural areas continues to be a major concern.
On Sunday, global infections passed the 25 million mark, with 843,000 deaths. The US remains the most affected nation, closing in on six million infections, according to Johns Hopkins University research .
What's behind the Indian increase?
India's single-day tally on Sunday passed the one-day increase of 77,299 reported by the United States on 17 July.
Cardiology doctor, Manoj Kumar, told Reuters: "It is the largest one-day surge in cases worldwide and the reason behind this - because the pandemic is spreading in the rural areas."
