I give DawgHouse a solid 8. Food is good. Restaurant is full. Good service. Food came out fast and hot. In and out in 45 minutes.

Anyone know what is going where the Lincoln Courts motel was on East Georgia? Also, I heard that Buc-ee’s might be going in at Tarbutton and I20. I’m pretty skeptical of that, but is it a “legit rumor” or just someone’s wishful thinking?

No way on the Buc-ee's thing. Not even a QT is likely. When construction of Tarbutton began, there was talk of a "Texas Best" type setup there. Any "Pilot" type truck stop will be a huge mistake. A large convenience store/restaurant set up like this https://texasbestshop.com/ would be nice.

what's going on with the QT in Ruston? Ruston started clearing the land long before West Monroe and there's has already been open a month now

Not sure I've ever seen a setup like QT in Ruston move so fast.

Two porta-lets were on site at the QT yesterday. Had not seen them there before.

QT is planning to start construction next week and Buc-ees IS coming at the Tarbutton exit.

All the Buc-ees (I've seen) are currently situated on 50 or more acres with two or more entry and exit ramps to/from one or more fast moving four lanes. In addition, they have hundreds of acres surrounding the main store that are drawing more hotel/motels, shopping, and restaurants.

Otherwise, the traffic will be backed up all the way to Choudrant and Simmsboro.

We went to one in Alabama, it had a smaller footprint than the one in Terrell.

Makes sense I suppose, but even this one has large four lane and an interstate feeding it.
