But, if Tech is eligible, North Texas might argue for Tech to head back to the Armed Forces Bowl to play Army in order for them to face an ACC opponent in Shreveport. Actually, I'd be fine either way (Indy Bowl vs ACC, or AFB vs Army). Frankly, both are very good options for LA Tech in a year that we don't deserve many good options.

But that's how Tech makes a large share of its bowl money. Unless it has changed in the last two years, schools keep the first $100,000 and half of all other bowl ticket revenue from sales through the school (other half goes to the conference). With 10 bowl teams, Tech's share of all other bowl revenue would be under 8% of the net total excess revenue for all teams after all bowl team expenses are paid for.
