Oh, no. Guess the next time we play down there they will claim we UL-Ruston.
Edit: I have been on the raginpagin site. Some on there seriously believe our legal name is University of Louisiana - Ruston and that TECH is - and has been - in violation of UL policy all along.

It's funny they seem to think the name of the host city for their University is an insult... I guess Lafayette isn't so great a town after all

I'm not sure where they are getting it.
This is the policy i found on the UL System site.
Name Change Policies and Guidelines (M-2)
III. University and System Name Guidelines
All institutions within the University of Louisiana System are to comply with the
following precepts and guidelines set forth to govern and coordinate the use of the University
of Louisiana name and logo:
A. As previously stated, there is no main campus for the University of Louisiana
System. Any designation of or reference to a member institution as “flagship,”
“lead,” “main,” or other similar descriptor is prohibited.
B. The use of the University of Louisiana System logo and/or the phrase “University of
Louisiana System” by an institution for commercial purposes or general use must
have prior approval by the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana
System.
C. The use of the two-letter University of Louisiana abbreviation, “UL,” and/or the
phrase “U of L” are prohibited by the university or any of its affiliated organizations
(alumni associations, development foundations, bookstores, etc.). For academic,
public relations, athletic, as well as other purposes not specified, the use of the
University of Louisiana abbreviation must always include the abbreviation for the
municipal location of the institution. For example, ULR is appropriate for University
of Louisiana at Rayne.
D. All uses of the name “University of Louisiana” must be followed by the word “at”
and the institution’s geographic location. No typographic variations within the name
are permitted. The word “at” must be no less than 50% and the geographic location
must not exceed 100% nor be less than 80% of the University of Louisiana name.
Any institutional use of “University of Louisiana” without the “at” and geographic
location is prohibited.
E. All institutions, whether or not their names are changed to the University of
Louisiana designation, must use the wording “A Member of the University of
Louisiana System” prominently on all stationery as well as on title pages of
university/college catalogs, magazines, newspapers, and journals.
F. Any adaptation of the University of Louisiana System logo and seal to university use
must be reviewed and approved prior to their use by the System office and the Boar

That's very plain and easy for most people to understand, but, I guess there are some that are too stupid to understand it.

I thought the error was on the line drive that daigle dropped. If he doesn't drop the ball, all he has to do is step on the base and the runner is out and the inning is over. They scored all 5 of their runs after that play.

It wasn't
It was well before that play...

That's what he gets for being Facebook friends with me... I can message him anytime!! :c)
The listen link through the X app never worked for me either. Gametracker was very up-to-date though.

http://www.radioline.co that somehow had a connection to the live radio and listened to the rest of the game.
Learfield is responsible for everything. They told the radio peeps to allow 4 hours. Obviously they needed more than 5 hours.
There are some old aps/links out there that look "offical" but are not good links.

They are getting it from the bolded portion above. I've seen some reproductions that actually state University of Louisiana @ Ruston as another example. Of course it was never there to begin with, but their fans believe it.
Re: 3/15 UL-Lafayette @ 6pm
The way I remember it, on the uls website there was a list of member universities. They were all named followed by a hyphen then the city they were located in. Ours looked like this.
Louisiana Tech University-Ruston
Thus the leopards started the LTR thing and saying we were not using our legal name.
It appears the site has been change and shows the state T for us now.

Yes, that's what I saw as an example, but it is not in the legislation...just the Rayne example I noted above.

Yup, here's the page listing the universities in the UL System.
http://www.ulsystem.edu/index.cfm?md...p=home&pid=402
Grambling State University
Louisiana Tech University
McNeese State University
Nicholls State University
Northwestern State University
Southeastern Louisiana University
University of Louisiana at Lafayette
University of Louisiana at Monroe
University of New Orleans
Re: 3/15 UL-Lafayette @ 6pm
The example LaLaff was using was not on an official site. It was a bad attempt to make it look official on one of their own sites.

Great game, y'all earned that win for making our Ace closer blow that save. He's an All-American for a reason.
Our offense left way too many runners stranded it's sickening. We had plenty of chances to put the game away.
Anyway, good game, onto the weekend.
I hope everyone will now understand, the Cajuns are still ranked and will continue to be ranked simply because of their pitching staff. It is truly a national power pitching staff.
