The Democrats are not yet ready to start handling the hard problems. They would rather let the Republicans tell the country what the solutions are and then use that against them in elections.

Of course not. All politicians' top priority is getting elected, then re-elected. duh.

Big deal. There have been worse things said by candidates. McCain said the fundamentals of the economy were strong and he isn't thought to be dumb. Obama said he had visited 57 states and still had 1 to go to and he's not considered dumb. He pronounced Marine corps as "corpse." Joe Biden said FDR got on TV and addressed the nation 30 years before the TV was invented and he called Barak Obama, "Barak America" and he said "jobs" is a 3 letter word.
Re: Step away from the ledge Sarah Palin is still dumb
Tina Fey said Palin said she could see Russia from her house on an SNL skit.
Palin actually said, "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."
(shows how effective ridicule can be... it blurs fiction from reality)
Re: Step away from the ledge Sarah Palin is still dumb
I just went looking for dumb Palin quotes. The only legitimately dumb quote that I could find was this one: "But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." The rest of them are either manufactured to make her seem dumb or SNL skits. She has said so much over the past 3 years, whether it be as a VP candidate on the road or in VP debates, or as a Fox News contributor, or in her reality show. If she were truly dumb, there would be much more proof.
The truth is the elites in both parties look down on her because of her education and the fact that she's just a soccer mom who achieved great success in a short time. Politics is for the Ivy League folks. The rest of us are just a bunch of Homer Simpsons to them.

They're not? The democrats had to push through health care because the teapublicans (who never even made a statement about healthcare during the bush years) had no plans at all for healthcare and was hellbent on stopping Obama from increasing in popularity. The dems also put forth a cap and trade policy (a program republicans were all for until Obama suggested it) and then backed off on it as well. Sounds to me that the republicans are the ones that are not ready to solve the big problems.

There is much more proof. Many of your teapublican talking heads don't even take her seriously namely George Will.

More like a perjury before Congress issue...
Remember the sworn testimony claiming that Planned Parenthood provides services that were proven as not provided. The leader who testified should be in the Federal pen along with the removal of all Federal funding.

Healthcare, like a majority of thngs, is not something the government is supposed to have their hands in except for some very specific regulatory aspects. Definitely not on the scale it is going to do if the bill stands up in court. Healthcare is not a right.
When did Republicans ever support any cap & trade legislation?

Paul Revere warning the British didn't do it for you? And then trying to justify it? She baled on being governor of a state. That's all I need to know. What would she do when it got hot in the White House.

And thanks for the link, though it is a bit iffy. But I think there is a huge difference in regulating sulphur and lead huge companies than carbon dioxide from individuals.

Nah... Revere did warn the British. She did say he was shooting guns and rining bells, but she was close enough. It was really not a story...just the press obsessing over her again.

Hurts seeing your party being hypocrites doesn't it? You guys love to criticize Obama and his "hope and change" mantra but Obama was naive in thinking he'd be able to work with republicans especially when house and senate had such large majorities. The teapublicans weren't going to work with the President on ANYTHING (NOT EVEN THE THINGS THEY PROMOTED) in order to politic to get their political power back. The teapublicans have failed this country.

She could have said the revolutionary war was between the colonies and the French and you'd still be making excuses. The woman didn't look like she knew what she was talking about, didn't sound like she knew what she was talking and frankly....SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT! She actually sounded as if she had learned the story of Revere for the very first time the day before.:o
