Pet Owners Independence Day

We could all use a day off every now and then, but who will take our place at work while we head to the spa? Here's a great idea: how about sending your pet to fill in for you? Yeah, that's right. Your cat that ran right off the end of the table when he was chasing a moth. Or your dog that barks when you turn on the vacuum. That's what today's holiday is all about. If you can train a pet where to do its 'business,' then who's to say it isn't ready for the business world?

National Garlic Day

Who cares if it makes your breath stink? Fellow garlic lovers everywhere will be more than willing to give you a big kiss for appreciating the spicy goodness, not to mention that garlic protects you from heart disease, the common cold, and vampires. So spread the word today by eating a big garlicky lunch, getting right up close to a stranger and offering a breathy HHHHHELLO. One whiff and they'll get the picture.
