President Trump

So, some idgits think Pence is maneuvering to get rid of Trump, and of course he would then slide right on in to the WH. I see. So, Pence is part of the Swamp...or! has been "gotten to" by the Swamp. They'll promise a lot if you do their bidding. Pence might be naïve enough to believe that once POTUS he's beyond reproach. Nope! not with that (R) behind his name. Worse! he's admitted to being a Christian, egad! The Left might be "working" with the RINOs to get rid of Trump, but once Pence is sworn in as Prez, the Left will bid adieu to that working relationship. The war on goodness will begin in earnest!

If this was a movie, we'd all learn that Pence has been the mastermind behind the whole scheme from the beginning. Knowing he has the personality of a wet noodle, and wouldn't stand a chance getting elected on his own merit, he orchestrates Trump running for POTUS and naming him his VP running mate. Then, Part B of the plan, turn on Trump and assume the office of president. It's always the quiet ones, the ones you least suspect, who plan such schemes.

There ya go! We're merely extras in a bad movie.

Not at all. Just respond with substance not speculation. No conservative has said Trump is perfect or Holy. He is human, makes many mistakes, and is very "unpresidential". Far from the perfection both the whore monger and the lesbian Clinton were actually celebrated for or the muslim Obama claimed to be "another way".

The guy who wrote it is a part of the deep state and conserving the current status of that deep state is the only thing he's worried about. It's a hopeless cause for him as President Trump steadily hammers away at the DC swamp.

I have seen the Deep State in action. Anyone who thinks it doesn't exist, isn't a real threat to the average American, and America as a nation, is simply stupidly ignorant and naïve. Mostly it's the unelected bureaucrats and their willing elected allies. Countless $billions literally stolen from hard-working American taxpayers.

The person that wrote the op-ed was hired by Trump. Why would he install a deep state? Wouldn’t that theory also prove his incompetence?

Btw, if you read the 25th Amendment, the process is instituted by the VP, which means, that if actual discussions regarding invocation of the 25th Amendment has occurred as mentioned by the op-ed, Pence is most likely involved in this resistance even if he didn’t write the op-ed.

I hear you saying that … and I believe you. But I'd submit there are a good many Trump supporters (incl some members of this board) who would still excuse the man even if he killed their family.

(For the record, I've never voted for anyone named Clinton, nor Obama.)

The op-ed is very curious. If you really are working to undermine the president from within, why would you out yourself and alert the President and his ally's that this is going on?
It wouldn't surprise me if it is someone within the white house, although I would be surprised if it is someone high profile. I suspect it is someone low level making themselves out to be the hero. If and when they are found out they will be a media darling.
