Re: Tech vs TAMU in Shreveport this fall
Dang... you beat me. So you know, my sister works for SPAR and she has her hand in all events to go on at Indy stadium. Trust my sources. ;c)

Yeah, just looked at the media guide and it claimed the 48k, but also saw some sites claim 52, 53, and 59. Given that, the ratio is alot closer and, if we do get a good television deal from the game (assuming this all becomes official), then we'll have very good representation which was my main concern. Thanks for the corrections and numbers DFM, DocMarvin362 and Dawg80, I appreciate it.

All things considered..IF THIS GAME IS SCHEDULED as we think it may play out- per the TX/AM fan website-I think it sells-out.

I doubt they'll give that one up since they wouldn't give 2012 up.

You all do realize that only one of the two between UTSA or Lamar counts towards being bowl eligible? As much as I loathe playing a game in Shreveport to host AM anywhere imo is a no brainer.

Bowl eligible? 06 has us going BCS if we don't play A&M. :)

I'm down. Good game with a good team and good fans. I'm actually looking forward to it, if it happens.

We won't be sitting at 6-6 so it won't matter, and only the WAC champ has an automatic bowl tie-in.
Re: Tech vs TAMU in Shreveport this fall
Your right about that 06 but a win over TX am which could happen does more for us than absolutely every other game on our schedule. If you really think we are BCS team than we really need this more than LAmar.

I never said that. I said we had a shot, a legitimate chance at the BC$ without A&M on the schedule. With A&M, we don't. We are basically trading a win vs. a 2nd FCS school for most likely a loss against A&M. Losses against AQ schools don't count toward bowl eligibility.

I agree that a win over A&M would be bigger than any other game on our schedule, but playing in the Sugar Bowl against maybe LSU would be MUCH BIGGER.
If we want to go to the BCS, we keep Lamar. The BCS is all about avoiding elimination week-by-week. One loss (A&M) = elimination.
We do NOT need this game with A&M.

I couldnt disagree with you more. Here is the thing a win over Lamar does nothing..It is pretty much a pre season game. I dont think we sniff the BCS going undefeated with the current schedule. I know if your a top 16 team you make it but I dont think we will even have a top 25 team on our schedule. A win over ranked TX am is the only way you even get close to the BCS and I still dont know if we make it in.

I disagree. Beating A&M will help our BCS chances much more than beating Lamar!!!
