I am more interested in doing more than just putting a flimsy bandaid on it. Enforce current laws and turn a blind eye to some things is the only way for anything to be done immediately. Military involvement is not a stop-gap measure that will produce results in any good measurement.
I don't think it would even slow. It may slow in Texas, but that is only because instead of crossing in Texas, they went through Arizona, New Mexico, or California.
Not sure I would include mines. Have to think about that one.
**** ***.
Dawg80, I think you're on to something. Good idea.
Wouldn't it be interesting if Mexico had a problem keeping illegal Americans out?
They have laws though (and they enforce them):
Mexico’s illegal immigration laws are a lot tougher than those of the U.S. Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be jailed for ten years. Visa violators can be sentenced for six-year terms and Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered to be criminals.
It doesn’t end there. Under Mexican law, foreigners can be deported if they are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests”, violate Mexican law, are not “physically or mentally healthy”, or lack the “necessary funds for their sustenance.” This applies to their dependents as well.
I didn't realize Mexicans were racists!

President Obama has dispatched a team to Texas to review whether deploying National Guard troops could help the crisis at the border
Obama's backwards and upside-down as always solution. I really think turning back to our GOD and impeachment of Obama is the only solution for this countries problems, sins and scandals.
Feds consider letting Hondurans into USA without making trek through Mexico...
A headline can't tell everything, but it can be more than a half-truth. My headline would be Feds consider letting Honduran refugees into USA without making dangerous trek through Mexico... This more accurately reflects what the article says.
