And, of course, TRY to inject skin color into the discussion. Well, everyone knows when a lib has lost an argument...which is most of the time...you always reach for the "race card." Or, even though I know you don't know and don't care, in this case it would be the "ethnicity card."

For the adults in the room, immigration is a problem, but we need to focus on ILLEGAL immigration first. Over staying Visas and the like is unacceptable, and yes, they are illegal and need to be dealt with. But, overall, statistically, those folks don't represent the worst of the crisis. Many...I dare say "most"...are good people who don't exacerbate their illegal presence by heaping additional crimes on top. The priority is to focus on those illegals who do.

Further, as has been pointed out only about a gazillion times, the whole issue involves more than just illegal immigrants themselves. There is also the drug trade which is benefiting greatly from the open border and the distractions of the human trafficking. The latter should, one would think, make any good lib shudder. Something akin to the illegal and immoral slave trade, but for whatever reason, you libs are okay with this slave trade.

And, I haven't even addressed the terrorism threat, the gang-related threat, MS-13 et al...

Then, as has been discussed ad nauseam, there is the humanitarian concerns that our current open door policy encourages. Again, not a peep from you libs of the rapes and the murders occurring along the route. Not a peep from you libs of parents abandoning their children "in the hopes" they will be okay. Heck, more angst is expressed on Facebook when another puppy has been abandoned at the local shelter! OMG! people post, how can anyone abandon such a cute puppy? How about....OMG! how can anyone abandon her 8 and 10 yr old daughters!?

No, it is clear those of us on the "conservative" side are on the right side of this issue.

Oh, and I haven't even touched on the rightful, ethical, moral, legal obligation to protect our nation's sovereignty. That is one thing clearly spelled out in the Constitution as the responsibility of the Federal government. But again, all you BIG GOVERNMENT libs want to ignore that inconvenient truth.

I bet a lot of speeders have drugs in the car.

And a lot of shoplifters are in gangs.

And they're absolutely in the wrong.

But yeah, what Champ said - automatic machine guns would reduce speeding, but aren't worth it. Walls around the candy bar aisle would reduce shoplifting, but aren't worth it.

What we're debating these days is what level of response does our current immigration policy need to meet. But instead of solutions, the hyperbole just results in entrenchment. You can't be willing to increase CBP budgets or add enforcement without being labeled a racist by one side. And you can't be ok with just doing that without being accused of abandoning the whole idea of the rule of law by the other side.

Because outrage will sell more ads, I guess.

It's the current flow of illegals pour across that needs to be stopped first; and immediately! That is Trump's first call to order which the country agrees. And many of these "are murders, rapists, and MS13 members". He has talked plenty about those wanting to cross for the right reasons which would be vetted and go through the correct and legal processes. Those with criminal records and gang members will be sent back immediately. And he has offered a great deal to those already here but the Dems rejected.

Maybe so, but the videos of them caravan's, busing and crossing the boarder speak volumes to why the American people are against it; not to mention those people and organizations funding this invasion and their reasons for doing so.

You do know that many Dems in Congress and the Senate are now calling it a crisis as well don't you? Just another reason you don't hear about it on the liberal networks or out of their mouths anymore. Even the elitist Hollywood and uber wealthy liberals are bitching now about the Dems stance. I posted this a week or two ago I believe.

I'm simply calling out the BS. Using MS13 and murderers to drive people to the polls is propaganda that is not a true representation of the situation. It's a populist scam to keep the GOP in power. If the market wanted to the fix the "crisis", they could do it in about two weeks with e-verify and private funding.
