When I said the line was double digits earlier this week I was met with disbelief. I explained we can not run the ball (check), turn the ball over too much (check), and have questionable play calling on occasion (check). I should have added we are not great on tackling.

Overall we are lucky to be down only by 10.

Tech's first INT happened because the Tech receiver refused to fight for the ball in the air. Sometimes a receiver has to play "DB" and bat the ball down in order to live to fight another day. etc.... On that play, Tech's receiver just stood there and watched. Cumby should make him buy a game ticket if all he wants to do is watch.

Nope. Then why bother watching at all? Fact is, there's a way to play the game without embarrassing yourself, your fans or your school, and I don't think it's asking too much of the players to do their part and increase their football IQ by a lot. This stuff isn't rocket science. But this team --so far-- might be the dumbest I've ever seen at Tech. The mental shit and mistakes has got to improve. Our expectations of them should be higher, not lower.

Is it football IQ or athletic ability? La Tech needs more athletic players with a high football IQ. How do we recruit them in today’s environment?

That's a nice rhetorical question, but the answer is it's probably both. Understandably, LA Tech fans didn't have high expectations against Clemson or Missouri, but USA is clearly a peer level institution to LA Tech, and they've figured out a way to recruit well. And now, Tech is getting blown out by USA 31-7, with 11 full minutes left in the 3rd Qtr. This is bad.

I try to stay positive when it comes to our coaching situation. I think Holtz did some good things for our program but we definitely reached our ceiling under him.

I'm trying to figure out what they saw in Cumbie. We've appeared unprepared and poorly coached in every game against an FBS opponent so far. This has been difficult to watch.

Cumbies pedigree isn't bad. The pedigree of his staff is not as stellar. And it is obvious he doesn't have enough experience preparing a whole team for gameday

The Low Football IQ strikes again. LA Tech's #10 commits a personal foul penalty on a dead ball. Yes, the same #10 that bounced off of McReynolds like a child a few plays ago. So this guy has no composure and can't tackle either. Aren't we glad he's on our team? ;)

Parts of both. I'm really concerned about some of the discipline issues tonight.

They're giving USA's O line way too much leeway. Ive seen them hit our guys well after the whistle on several plays and all they do is warn them. It won't affect the score but I don't want any of our guys to get hurt because of a cheap shot.

While other schools were working to make sure they didn’t get left out when the next conference shakeup happened, our admin was on cruise control putting their conference future in the hands of a woke woman that Killed CUSA football.

EVERY SINGLE TIME there’s a realignment they get caught with their pants down. EVERY SING TIME WITHOUT FAIL.

Athletics and football is so far down the priority list for Tech’s admin and has been for 30 years. They are perpetually committed to mediocrity. It’s the North Louisiana way.

Tech will never rise above its current spot in the college football food chain.
