We are planning a cookout sell burgers and dogs things like that. Also, we are planning on doing a fundraising dinner. We are currently doing a spiritcup fundraiser but tech isn't offered so haven't gotten much response with that one. I've also ordered information bout other fundraisers we are gong to try. Its hard selling yo college students since most don't have money. We are truly trying but we need more help.

Hello guys and gals,
We are getting ready to start our biggest fundraiser and hopefully last for the year. We are planning on doing awareness bracelts just like the "Livestrong" ones. We can make a total profit of well over 19,000 minimum. We need some assistance with the start cost. Right now based on their site we need $1,000 upfront. We are thinking about putting #NOLALOVE. This is a movement that just started in my hometown of NOLA to help fight crime and fund more after school programs to keep kids off the street. Their website is nolalovemovement.org. We want to give a portion of our proceeds to them to support their efforts as well as meet our goals. There are a lot of people on this board we can get this moving pretty quickly hopefully. That's a good idea we may just use Band Of Pride. We want to use these because profits will greater the more we sell. After this, we do plan on bringing back the "Low Brass Fire Dept" shirt, for those who know what that is. The selling price for these are only $2.00. We just need the start up cash to get going. Bake sales and selling food is now banned on campus well at least bake sales are. That was a quick and easy fundraiser. As soon as we can get the start up money for it we can get going.Quote:

You said you would net $19K at $2 a pop. Then you plan on making 10,000 bracelets, correct? THAT'S ALOT OF BRACELETS! I don't think you'll sell that many. Maybe you should look into raising the price to $3 and only get 7,000. My fear is if you don't raise the price you won't make the money you need to make even if you buy 10,000. Just a suggestion.
I'm hoping we can sell one to the entire campus $2.00 isn't a lot to ask for (or so I hope). That's what the figures were based off of. We're probably gonna start out with a small order see how it goes and/or do a pre-order. That way won't have a bunch of inventory. I'm sure we can get family and friends to buy one as well as tech band members. The potential is there we just have to make it happen. We just need that little boost to get us going.Quote:

So you're considering selling a "Low Brass Fire Dept." shirt to 10,000 people? I understand the shirt theme because I was in band, but anyone outside of band wont get it; therefore won't be willing to spend even $2.00 on something that they don't/can't relate to.
If you want to sell something to thousands of people, it will need to be something they can relate to and/or understand. Something generically Louisiana Tech.
Just a thought.
P.S.-- Kudos for taking the initiative to raise some much needed funds for a worthy and necessary cause.

We will get youth sizes on our next order. They will arrive in approximately 2 weeks. If you have a question on how to order just let me know. We would prefer payment through University foundation. The wristbands are IN! I can't do anything with 250 of them by myself. Right now our email server is down, so email your orders to tubalpha@gmail.com. If you are local you can pick them up at anytime I will be around all quarter break. If you are in Shreveport, Monroe area or beyond we can gladly mail it to you just indicate where on the order form. It is also available in our web store. You DO NOT need a Paypal account to purchase it through our store. Please note as of now it can only be mailed. Since it is quarter break, and campus will be closed do not mail your orders to the address listed. Cash, check, or money order, or credit card through paypal or University Foundation. I haven't received a single order from this site yet. This is not good. Easiest way to order is through our web store at www.tubalpha.org and checkout with PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account for that. It will be mailed to you First Class mail WITH delivery confirmation (unless you are local and want to pick it up). Make sure you specify how many and of what color. As soon as these are sold, we are going to purchase more plus child sizes so help us get them sold asap.

I would suggest posting something over in the football forum. The student kennel does not get much traffic so I doubt many know about the fundraiser.
Yes. I would definitely start a thread on the football forum. The only reason I see this thread is because I click on "What's New" and see all new threads across all of the sections. Some only look at Football/Basketball forums.
Bought 4. I plan on passing them out to some high school kids at church. If some other kids want more, I'll order more.
