After Notre Dame got Donkey Stomped in the NC game, I can't believe the coaches voted the Irish #3. WTF? How badly does Notre Dame have to lose to drop in the polls? You would think that a 4 TD ass whipping would have dropped them a few more spots.
Re: Tech still receives votes in coaches poll . . . Sonny fails to vote
With Notre Dame's history in polls they could lose 6 games and still be in the top 25

How far did LSPoo drop last year after the only shut-out in NC history? Don't remember, just asking.

So . . . whose SID was not doing their job? Find something else to fiddle fart about.
My point was not to blame P.W., but to point out that Sonny Dykes didn't just stop caring about this poll after he changed jobs. He didn't care about this poll while he was at Tech because it was a delegated chore.
I've been upset about the way the coaches poll is run for years. Many coaches have stated that they don't look at it (translates to they don't care). There's not much we can do about that, but as RC said, if they don't vote, they should have their privileges revoked.

Totally agree. But I honestly think it was a courtesy thing given that they went 12-0. Which by the way proves the subjectiveness of these polls.

PW didn't do the voting for SonnyD. He just transmitted how Sonny voted. . . .

Okay. I admire S.D. for spending several minutes of his valuable time on Sunday mornings each week mulling over this poll.:icon_wink:

having watched Coach D for 3 years I am offended by your post You have no idea the genuine support he gave the team during loss of Duplessis and hard work he put in for Tech. He also kept his coaches for 3 yrs -- no one hangs around with a douche for long. Only a handfull of over avid give a crap about final season polls--they are just as worthless as preseason polls and refular season polls. Kansas state and ND could have played for national championship if polls had their way. Both coaches taking over new programs, meeting players and handicapping prospects and needs. Worthless polls last on thier list. Most of us who met Sonny -really liked his as a coach and person. Now Tubby at TT--thats a differrent story--sure he voted

I definitely do not think SD is a douche. But I also don't think he should ever call anyone out again about leaving early.
