Funny, I was doing some work with a young La State guy this past week. He has some friends at Tech, and had been there recently.

Among the many things Tech-related we talked about, he actually mentioned that building in particular. He said that recreation facility is outstanding, and is much, much nicer than the one at lsu.

Yeah, that's it. Facility ay be outstanding but it's ugly. Looks pretty lit up at night.

I did it for four years to help pay my way through school. Definitely not the funnest job but the perks of getting to go to all the away games and tons of team issued gear made it worth it. Its definitely hot and scary at times (if the wind is bad).

What's wrong with Eddie?

the video guys have safety standards on when they can go up there on the lifts and what not. Winds are a determining factor (due to the tragedy at Notre Dame, what, year or two ago.). They all wear harnesses in the cage up there.

It's been almost 30 years since I played football, but when did it become normal to have music blaring at practice (in the videos)? Is it on all of the time? Is it so bad that these kids need constant stimulation? <soapbox /off>

DD really needed music in the background to drown out his coaching moments. Not as much for Sonny's staff. Skip's staff is lukewarm, except when they get really, really mad at something.

Of course it doesn't matter. I was just wondering when it became acceptable to have music at practice and if anyone knew when/how it got started. Does it happen at other teams' practices?

That's not the building that was in the background of the photo that was referenced.

I think the Nat looks really really cool. Especially at night.
