One thing that I saw from our last game against ULL: we were playing like Boise state (against us) with a bunch of unstoppable small/white WRs converting 3rd and long all night (twss) :D

If our running game struggles early, as long as we can throw it like we did last week, the running game will eventually open up.
I think UNT has to prepare for both and if they stuff the line of scrimmage we will wear them out over the middle of the field just like we did ULL. Also, I have a feeling we are going to hit some long ones with our outside receivers - it's time for Turner to have a break out game. Hopefully, Sokol will continue to progress and protect the ball.
Carlos Henderson will make his debut this week. I'm excited to see what he can do.
I thought Paul Turner looked good Sat night.

Paul Turner, making his second career start for the Bulldogs, registered career-highs in receptions with seven and yards with 81. Both were team-highs on the night.--quote from article
Hmmm, UNT's strengths are suspect. TheyI think we should be able to establish a decent running effort, just about 100 yards, against them, while being able to use our passing attack. Our defense will struggle against the run, but Diaz's blitzing attack may be best suited for that. I'm going to say 31-17 Bulldawgs.
- put 200+ yards rushing on a SMU defense that gave up 260 yards rushing to Baylor (which had their 2nd's in after the 1st quarter)
- gave up 163 yards rushing to Texas which only manage 82 yards against BYU
- Had a -4 turnover margin against Texas and +5 turnover margin against SMU, while Texas had a +2 TM against BYU
- rushed for only 79 yards against Texas, which gave up 248 against BYU
- SMU had 3 fumbles lost to both NT and Baylor
I think our best way to win is to do what we did to ULL, get ahead and force them to try and throw. Can we get out to an early lead? I have no idea looking at the last two games they've played I can't glean anything from their D's blowout loss to UT, then shutout of SMU.
If UNT wants to beat Tech, run the triple option. :icon_wink:
North Texas seems very similar to Army/Navy. Mostly a run oriented team. But when they pass, it's usualy for big yardage.
Don't let their TE beat us down the middle! (almost twss material)
comparing their stats against Texas and ours against OU, it would make you think we have the better team!
I can't figure out how bad SMU is but how much better would you think ULL
is than SMU?
Predicting, a blow out again this Thursday in Denton!
Go BULLDOGS!
