I wish Mickey was on here to comment about it. I bet he loves it. I also like to see the QB lining up under the center.
After watching Texas Tech today, I'm relieved Dykes and Co. moved on. This year's offense can put up points but it doesn't put as much pressure on the defense.

Agree Boxer... the 1 element that I think could prove beneficial is the ability to eat some clock. Our defense is better, but it seems they are not on the field as much. Maybe it is just longer stints in between defensive series. Someone correct me if I am way off.

. Nothing to correct. Fourth quarter goes your way when opponent defense is worn out.

. Did you see him at games last year?? I have sat on student side - 50 yard line since stadium built -- partly because I am creature of habit and like the enthusiasm on student side. But Mickey not our side
Re: Iowa's thread on Sokol
What I have liked about Tech's offense this year is that it has been successful no matter what tempo it has played at. With the Dykes/Franklin system the offense had to be running a fast tempo to work.

Agree. I love the different facets this offense can run, like using the TE on the TD pass.

You said you like seeing us go to a TE for that TD. My response was not worded well. I was just commenting that just seeing TD's in general is awesome.

Our offense has been successful when its been aggressive. We've played somewhat conservatively at the beginning of games and not scored much. As soon as we begin running more aggressive plays (outside runs and sweeps, throws over the middle, deep balls etc) we've been very successful. Tempo hasn't mattered so much as aggression has.
Re: Iowa's thread on Sokol
Power 5 fans are always dellusional. This year I would be willing to bet we would beat half the Power 5 teams by 2 Touchdowns or more.
Re: Iowa's thread on Sokol
Just think what we could do with their budgets.
