This is the one thing about our ST that still baffles me. Of all the positions that can be killed by a game of musical "chairs", kicker has to be the worst. Repetition and trust under pressure are crucial even more than QB many times.

Missed xpts and fgs will cause a coach to doubt and make changes.
Re: Louisiana Tech Specialist Camp
I agree, but alternating them possession after possession seems excessive. To me.
Re: Louisiana Tech Specialist Camp
How about having one do extra points and the other do field goals. Just asking.

Seems like a waste of a scholarship.
Ideally the set up would be...
1 punter and 1 kicker with one of each waiting in the wings as walk ons. Yes, there is a slight risk on the road, but SOMEBODY on the team can be a backup punter. Just go for 2 on xpts.

I could swear I heard of a team that did not kick extra points. They went for two every time.

Is it that Ark HS coach that never punts? Or me when I play NCAA.

We should've done that last year considering the defense we had. If our punting game doesn't improve, it may not be a bad idea this year either.

Tech and Tails was awsome. But, I don't think Skippy liked the question I asked about our punter & kicker situation. :)

It was a great question and Holtz handled it well, as well as funny, IMHO
Re: Louisiana Tech Specialist Camp
Skip and Tyler did quite well together. Loose and funny. They've always done well at these functions. Fletch did a great job emceeing. Teddy introduced the campus deans.
Skip said Carlos Henderson is so fast he can play tennis . . . by himself.
