We have another post saying Jean is back by the year's end. I have heard zero updates on Criston. Missing both will be very, very difficult to replace.
That's ok, this is another rebuilding year. We're well on track of getting back into the Dance by 2050.
Dave in broadcast before the game said Jean could be gone for the year; after the game he said back “no sooner that December 29th”. Big disparity I know.
Criston is being “monitored”, literally 24/7, for another couple of weeks and will then be re-evaluated. Based upon the initial incident they were concerned he was done for the year, but apparently there have been no further episodes. Still can be gone for the year, but TBD
Criston is heart related issues - still wearing the monitor right now
Jean's is leg issue - he has not bounced back from the injury and is not recovering well
That's TWO captains - forget what they bring to the team physically and in the box scaore - losing two captains like this also has an emotional effect on a team

The heart issue is a gut punch. I've known people who passed out on the court, wore the monitor, and then came back with no issues, ever. Hopefully that is the deal with Criston.Quote:
