Since we're telling stories...back in the late 70's Rummel had the #1 team in the state and won back to back state championships, one year beating 41-0 Deridder for the title...we were chanting "41 and 1" "41 and 1". Anyway, during the regular season district foe Jesuit tried to play slow down in hopes of stealing a low-scoring win. Rummel beat 'em 36-4. The paper had a field day with it printing, when you slow the game down it's to avoid a blowout...
