Re: NCAA preliminary site list (Ruston, Charlotte, Hattiesburg included)
Committee has to be kicking themselves for putting Pitt on the list and leaving off both Florida State and Louisville. Panthers have celebrated being on the list by losing two at home to North Carolina State.
Problem is even with those losses Pitt still has a better RPI than either Florida State (1-1 this weekend) or Louisville (0-2 this weekend).

Ok but we did win both games today.... what’s your deal? Don’t beat yourself and us up so much.

Try to stay current. That comment is two days old. Be careful you don’t get too far ahead of yourself. Tech was a squeaker from going down 2-1 today and there’s tomorrow to come yet. You’d better cross your fingers like I will be.

That’s baseball and what makes it exciting even when the game in general can be called “slow”.

Southern Miss is close to overtaking Louisiana Tech in Conference USA’s hosting pecking order. The Golden Eagles swept a doubleheader from FAU on Saturday after dropping the series opener on Friday. USM leads the C-USA West Division by a half game and has an RPI of 25, slightly higher than the Bulldogs. This is a fascinating race to follow over the next few weeks.

That’s from D1 who has been in love with Tech from basically the beginning of the season. If they are starting to falter, then we are actually probably behind so Miss and Charlotte in the pecking order for hosting.

Good information. We had our chances and our Daddy is in position to beat us again even when we went 5-3 against them during the year. It's all about pitching.
Other than our BP, my concern is this...The same nine guys have been in the order since the Middle series. I'm not saying they are not our best nine, but I am concerned with who he goes to when he needs a pinch hitter when there are other guys who have not gotten a chance to hit since Marshall and before. That's puzzling to me when he had no problem using them for the first half of the season and with some success.

I think maybe Jaxson Slaughter could be the guy. Very intimidating name and the opposing teams know little about him so they would have a very minimal scouting report on him.

After today, Tech is probably #1 again in that C-USA pecking order.

Seems like the two ODU games are great opportunities to beef up our RPI.

TCU lost to ulm...that should disqualify them from hosting.

Re: NCAA preliminary site list (Ruston, Charlotte, Hattiesburg included)
CUSA is probably very deserving of having 3 first round NCAA home sites IF there aren’t any CUSA tournament disastrous outcomes like 0-2 and out. I’m really hoping we get 3 home field opportunities. The problem is as we all know, the major conferences get more than their fair share of favoritism. At this point pending their SEC tournament play LSU could snatch away Tech’s home hosting opportunity. It’s true they schooled us this season which sucks enormously but for us to then lose hosting to them would be horrific! Let’s hope this something of a hard earned Cinderella type season continues like destiny.
