I keep saying this, but all that has to happen is for ULM to start calling themselves University of Louisiana. At that point, all networks will start having to distinguish the two and UL becomes Lafayette.
Given the Cajuns long history of bribery and corruption, that seems unlikely. The juco will keep their mouths shut and their heads down.Quote:

As a Louisiana TAXPAYER, I am happy to see that UL-Lafayette is actually pulling its weight as a state university in Louisiana. There are about 6-8 others who aren't ranked AT. ALL. ANYWHERE.
Instead of, "hey this proves my school is better than yours" let's ask the question this way...If you take LSU, UL-Lafayette, LaTech, and UNO out of the research and development equation, what are the rest of our state schools doing with the taxpayer money they get?
If by "taxpayer money" you mean state general revenue -- they're probably just keeping the lights on, seeing as those amounts range from negligible to insignificant.Quote:
