Thats the way I feel. Pardon us for not wanting to play second fiddle to the Red Stick folks.
This weekend, I was at the Gary Allan concert at Rabb's and the promoter cheered for LSU. Its good that they are winning and it is a current event but he could have taken two seconds to mention the university located in the city.
Re: Blessing in disguise??
Did anyone happen to hear Coach Brady's interview in which he said, "There are other state schools in Louisiana but the students who go to these schools are ALL LSU fans." I almost PUKED!

Doc, Jford, and I are trying to convert him. Hopefully this kind of comment will show him the light.

And, some other crapola. I'm sure Brady believes that.
As for me, I didn't care, but now I am back to rooting against lspoo after Brady's asinine statements.
What's Brady's email address? We should let him know how we feel about LSU.:furious3:

He may just need a stern "talking to" from Coach Mick to see the light. :icon_wink
Re: Blessing in disguise??
Well I congratulate LSU on Making the Final Four. At this point, I just want Tech to make the NCAA's. Based on Tech's performance in the 1980's and Northwestern run this year, I know that if Tech will invest the right resources and emphasis in Mens Basketball we can be very successful. Just wish our administration would view the NIT as a step forward and not a great year.
I do however think the state could use a better representative than John Brady. He looks like the town drunk that just crawled out of a bar. He reminds me of Beer Looter Dude.

I think thats part of the problem, people view LSU as representing Louisiana. LSU represents LSU and their students, fans, and alumni, NOT THE ENTIRE STATE! By the way, congratulations is spelled with a T.

Great observation. And his players act like thugs -- great playing thugs, but thugs nevertheless.
Re: Blessing in disguise??
No, seriously, LSU still has a basketball team?

I was thinking the exact same thing during the Texas game. I don't remember what happened but Thomas did something that made me think of him as a thug.

LSU, Tech, ULL or anyone state school represent Louisiana when they play on TV. They do not have to represent you or any one individual.

If LSU wins a national title, youre proud because theyre from your home state? Thats rediculous, I dont care if OU or Tulsa wins, I dont identify with them, I'm from Tulsa the city, not the school. This is just the state cramming LSU down your throat, brainwashing people into believing everyone should support them because of state pride. I've never seen anywhere else do this, I doubt Texas A&M fans cheer for Texas, or Ole Miss for Miss St, etc. In just about every other state the most hated team is the one from the same state because youre battling for the same students, recruits, fans, media attention, money. LSU winning does nothing to help public perception of the state, it's not seen as a better state because one college team is good. Does USC winning influence your opinion of california?
