Some years ago Louisiana College explored establishing a law school for North Louisiana. I think they envisioned it being located in Shreveport. But they could never raise enough money to even serve as seed money. LC (now Louisiana Baptist) is a small private school, so the hill was steeper for them to climb. NSU doesn't have a large endowment either, so the state will have to be a big benefactor in it.

Louisiana doesn't need another law school. Four is more than enough seats, when you consider a majority of those interested in law school look outside the state.
