DD Row 45 for me
Brenda is there now for you ticket buyers. Just purchased 3 in DD, Row 42, Seats 24-26. She says she has been busy and that us Texas guys are really pulling our weight.
I emailed Brenda yesterday and requested renewel of my 8 seats on the west side and plan to get CHAMPS donation taken care of at the same time. She is very responsive and helpful and a very nice person to work with. I am going to be encouraging all the relatives to do likewise over Christmas when I see them in person so hopefully we can get even more contributions and attendence at the games. All of my relatives are quite impressed with the Coach Dooley hire so this is not a hard sell to get them back involved.
Once Tech can get more organized after the holidays and send mailers to everyone with CHAMPS and ticket packages I think our broader alumni base will be responsive. The mailing needs to highlght the big turnaround toward commitment to athletics for those that do not follow along as closely as we do on the board. It would not hurt to also have a phone bank to follow up and let alumni know that this is a substantial effort and that we need everyone to step up no matter what they can contribute. As dreadful as I felt earlier in the year I am completely turned around and genuniely exceited about the efforts over the last few weeks. I just want this commitment to continue and if alumni respond and there is money to work with I think it will prove that Dr. Reneau going all out for this hire has the backing to do the same in the other areas of coaching and facilities that need attention.
When do the dates of the conference games get confirmed?
your boy, JO, said that it should be finalized in the next month or so.
i wonder if anyone their yesterday had as hard a time as i did listening to him. i kept thinking "sit down and let dooley talk!" the whole time he was up there.
has it been 6 weeks yet?

That actually sounds plausable since the winter quarter ends on the 28th exactly 20 days from today. Would make sense to relocate/fire JOakes end of quarter rather than mid-way thru.
