The government already leaves me alone despite how ingrained I am with it. He wouldn't be able to change anything ad POTUS. He'd have better luck in the Senate.
It's his idea you have to gut the military to be fiscally conservative and justifying it as we spend more than the next 10 countries combined (an exhausted leftist talking point). That's high-class bullshit. Also, his idea is of no government, not limited. That is dangerously stupid and already failed more than any other system outside a monarchy.
I'm usually agree with his fiscal policies. Not all of course. But once he steps outside his wheelhouse, he sucks.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
The government leaves you alone? That statement alone reminds me why I had you on ignore, and you will be again. Um, Obamacare.
It is not worth my time reading your posts. Good bye.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
It's surprising you think everyone has the same experiences.

I hope to rectify that. Have too much respect for him.

I can somewhat I agree with this. Mainly just disagree about Bush and Paul. Bush didn't have a good night and Paul sucks.
I guess it was your praise for Kasich as being the only sane one.
He screams and thrashes like a banshee all the while spewing the most moderate/liberal policies on the stage.
He is the democrats dream. No way he would win, but if he did he might as well have been their candidate anyway.

Thanks M. You are so kind.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
I like Cruz tremendously. I like Carson as a person but he's to naive to be POTUS at this time. Trump, please dear God no. Rubio, there's something about him I just don't trust. Bush, democrat lite. Carly, she is a very good talker but I'll admit I don't know enough about her. Paul never had a chance. I like a lot of the things he says but I think he goes to far for the average voter.

I don't know if anyone saw it, but Carly exposed the hosts of The View for what they are last week--hypocrites. She called them out for treating conservative women differently than liberal women.

Symone was left befuddled.... she always thought she was nice and Ann was mean. It was shocking to her.
As for the debate, still Cruz and Rubio.... and then Fiorina for me. I like Carson and he would be fine, but not as good those 3, imo. When is Trump going to leave and why are a lot of Republicans still enamored with a guy who voted for Obama?
I wonder if the View will make fun of this one today.

There is nothing sane about deporting 11-million people. And the tax plans are just as insane.

I think that applies to all except Carson. He must be self-medicating in some way to be THAT calm.

Such as what? I've read some say he was calling for bailing out banks, but I didn't interpret his statement to mean that. He was talking about depositors. But it seems he and the others forgot about the FDIC. But what else?

I was surprised no one uttered FDIC, but most of the experts apparently interpreted his statements, as a former banker, that he would do a bailout again.
I saw a Luntz focus group video that rated that moment as the lowest in the history of the Luntz groups. They all apparently also believed he was saying he supported too big to fail.
Dude is toast
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
IMHO the only reason he's still in it is because he's from Ohio. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the VP nod for that very reason.

He is. I will say though that he's another victim of the Trump/Carson phenomenon. The support those two have gotten could not have been predicted. They've changed the race. Kasich is a MUCH better candidate than John Huntsman or John McCain and it feels like even Huntsman had more of a shot at this point than Kasich.
Bush attempted to be "above the fray" and play the long game, but I think he's sunk. He fell too far back. I could see him winning NH though and that might spark his campaign. The real winners in the Trump/Carson fallout will be Rubio and Cruz. I'm good with either one.
