It wouldn't be as bad as how empty the North Texas one usually looks with attendance. They do have a nice one, though. Well.... I am not fond of the wings. A close in all the way around and team shop would be great (that could later be added to with seats). For now, a nice columned walkway around the North End zone would be perfect. The shop under it.

We will remove the north bleacher seats when we bowl in the north end zone, so we won't be adding much capacity, if we add any at all. A lot will depend on how the jumbotron is placed into the design. A vast improvement to the overall appearance of the stadium is what we'll get out of this project. What we want to end up with is a nice, modern looking 30K seat stadium.

Is there any final plan or design for the Joe? As much as I love everything being added to the Joe, are they following a plan or just adding what they can when possible and hoping it all looks good in the end?

IMO I don't think we should have a 30,000 stadium when we bowl in the north end zone. I think a 26,000 - 28,000 is best for now. Remove the ugly metal wings and add the same amount of seats for the bowl. When we finally consistently sellout that size, then we should follow an already existing plan for expanding the stadium.

The NEZ (bowl-in) should be cheap seats. I mean like $5 or something. And it should be where high school bands can come, they could perform during tailgating and do a pre-game thing on the field, and sit in the NEZ. Boy Scouts, church groups, and even family reunions, can get very cheap seats ($3 each) and be introduced during the game and shown on Zilla. Such promotions will increase attendance, start building Tech fans for life (the youth), and contribute to revenues because those folks will still buy concessions, which Tech had better be making money on.

Yeah, I guess they wouldn't be able to see themselves very well on the big screen. But, everyone else could, and maybe Tech can send them a video of them on the screen and of them waving, so they can see how it looked to rest of the stadium. Would be simple to do, and cost nothing. Also provide something they could share to encourage other groups to do the same.

It was just a thought.

Place the band and kidzone in the end zone. Done. Both side of the stadium can hear the BOP.

Naw, I think you have an excellent idea. I'm justifying for you why I agree tickets can be much cheaper. The video board is a big player now in gameday experience.

I have not heard how they feel they are doing against the clock, but there have been very few weather delays. Not sure about other type delays.
