It is easier to have one ticket type than having employees have to pay attention and choose the "right" ticket.
The part I hate about it is the look of disgust when I leave $0.00 as the tip as if I'm stealing from them because the at entitled to be given something.

Why do people want big crawfish? The amount of meat in the tail of a very big crawfish is not much more than in a smaller crawfish. Those smaller crawfish have a much higher count per pound than the large ones.

i would bet the big ones have nearly twice the meat of the typical-sized ones. if they are no more than twice the weight, then advantage: big ones. the lower count means you get the same amount of meat with less work. i will agree, however, that they seem to absorb less flavor from the boil -- not sure why that happens.

Four years ago we didn't have Greg Goff in the coaches box -
As much as I admired what Mike White did for our program in making it relevant again, he was not the proven winner than Goff is at all levels
Goff is probably the most sound HC on our campus - with both him and Mark Montgomery in softball, we have our spring sports in great shape at the top

Drivers slow down to allow traffic to merge from Mill Street then the right west bound lane keeps slowing down even more due to traffic taking the Thomas exit. People DO NOT know how to merge into traffic or how to allow traffic to merge. Slamming on breaks when going 60+ mph should not be part of the deal but it is.

My children loved me as a driving instructor. I was consistent in telling them to floor it as soon as the hit the on ramp. People apparently don't understand basic laws of physics. It is never a good idea to try to move into traffic that is moving between 60 and 75... While you are doing 25.

How do the zombies on tv & movies always manage to keep their clothes on? You'd think they'd eventually get their clothes snagged on a branch or something ...
It's not that I want to see naked zombies. You just think there'd be more.
Also, why don't any wild animals ever attack the zombies? Predators and scavengers consume carrion everyday. And in a battle between a single zombie and a puma (or even a flock of buzzards), I think the animal(s) would have the advantage.

My grandfather was a smoker until the 60s or 70s. He worked shifts, and he got home after a 3-11 one night, out of cigarettes. There were no 24-hour convenience stores at that time and place, and his craving kept him up all night. True to his character, instead of buying cigs when the shops opened, he got pissed! He was NOT going to let something have that much control over him!
Unfortunately, he switched to chewing tobacco, which eventually led to the throat cancer that killed him at a fairly young (considering his otherwise good health and activity level) age of 77.

I'm listening to a band called The Naked and Famous on spotify while I work. Their sound is kind of an electronic pop thing. Not bad, don't know a ton about them, only know a couple of their songs.
Apparently they have a song titled "Spank." I have no idea what the lyrical content is to this song because of the style of music and the fact that I'm listening at work with the volume down.
For a fleeting moment I actually considered trying to google the lyrics.
Then I considered what that search would consist of and how much I like my job.

Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
I got in my son's vehicle last weekend for a quick trip to the store. When I got in I heard a "clicking" noise that sounded like it was related to the drive train or trans mission in some way. Later in the day my wife helped me as we would take turns driving slowly while the other would try to find exactly where the noise was coming from. She finally saw "something hanging down underneath". I asked "where?"... She replied, "The round thing in the middle"... I asked, "The drive shaft?"
Some my son's "friends" went to the trouble of crawling underneath the vehicle and putting a couple of very long wire ties around the drive shaft. This may be a common practical joke, but it was a first for me. As usual the joke was on Daddy and not my son.

I'm sitting here while a very thorough inspection is being done on a house we're trying to buy (our first to buy). It's an interesting feeling. Kinda like someone else taking a test where you're very invested in the outcome. Maybe similar to your kids taking the SAT.

Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
just remember this house is not your kid. you can throw it out if it fails (may be a good idea for a kid that fails the SAT, come to think of it). texastina and i made the mistake of getting too emotionally attached to a house before the inspection once, and didn't back out when we should have.

Good point. Fortunately the inspectors said it's in great shape and seems to have been well taken care of. They were extremely positive about foundation situation and roof. Around here, foundation issues are brutal, so that was good news.

Went to Philadelphia for the week and got to check off seeing the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall's Assembly Room, and Congress Hall. Very awesome to be in the room where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were written/signed and where Washington and Adams were inaugurated.
It seems everything worth going to closes at 5pm which sucked because it is hard to make it to anything when you're not done working until 4:30pm. Also, Rittenhouse Square smells like a sewer. The whole area. It gets better when you get to the hospitals towards Washington Square.
And Philly reinforced my hatred for independent (non-chain) hotels.

Discussing Louisiana culture with a friend of mine (in Arkansas) and he mentioned that he'd driven through NO many years ago, got lost in a bad part of town (so, New Orleans), and saw a city sign with the motto (dunno when this was) "Thou Shalt Not Kill." He said "A city that needed to put up that sign wasn't a place I wanted to stay for long."

This may be the best one since Pee-pie the pig...
A Monroe man is facing multiple charges after an alleged altercation at St. Francis.
According to an arrest report for Logan Horn, age 30, Jackson Street, officers were dispatched to St. Francis regarding a disturbance early Wednesday morning.
When officers arrived, employees told them Horn grabbed a flashlight off of the wall and a cup of urine before stating, "Let's get it on."
An employee said she asked Horn what he was doing with the flashlight, and Horn said, "I'm going to use it as a weapon."
Both employees said they felt threatened when Horn talked about fighting them.
A worker also told officers Horn damaged the flashlight by throwing it down.
Horn was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of simple criminal damage to property.
Total bail has not been set.
