Re: Recruiting Class of 2018
The coaches were barking on Twitter yesterday, so we have another recruit commitment.
Edit: It is transfer WR Isaiah Graham from TCU. Graham was an All-American at Bastrop HS in the class of 2016. Graham will sit out this coming season as a transfer and then have two years to play at LA Tech.

If he is going to be #4, what does that say about Alfred Smith? Alfred is #4 now.

it says you're reading too much in the jersey he posted. Smith will be a redshirt senior when Graham becomes eligible
Re: Recruiting Class of 2018
Smith is done. He was way over rated.

Dr. Drop - yes, never could figure out what folks saw in him.

He never got an offer from Tech. He would have taken it. He really wanted to come to Tech, but I don't blame him for his fear of falling into the Holtz WMHS group who are there only to help team GPA as a walk on, but never see the field because they "lack speed".
He is committed to Army and we will regret it.

He still has two years left and was banged up like 69 others this year. Let’s just see what happens next year. He has one thing that you can’t teach/coach and that’s pure speed.

His twitter lists his football offers as:
- Military Academies
- Ivy League
- ULM/Southland/DII
Forget football. Those are three drastically different types of institutions. Tech and Army offer two completely different life experiences.
Keep in mind Army "signs" at least 50 kids every class. Most of Army's "signees" likely never play a down on their varsity team. With him choosing Army, I just can't imagine a football scholarship offer from Tech over a PWO offer with academic scholarship until he earns an athletic scholarship offer would've made a difference in a decision with lifestyle options that drastically different. He'd still have a better chance of actually playing at Tech as an initial walk-on than at Army with their hundreds of "signees."

"slow" walk ons at Tech rarely play. History proves it.
Re: Recruiting Class of 2018
Not sure if it is ok to post this question here, so if not please remove or move to the correct board. USM's top rb recruit from last year tore his knee up during bowl practices, so our coaches wanted to sign a rb in Feb. They got a commitment this morning from Trivensky Mosley, a rb out of Shreveport Woodlawn. I just wanted to ask if any of you Dogs from that area knew anything about him or saw him play? Tech was not recruiting him. Thanks for any replies.
Re: Recruiting Class of 2018
He does no go down easily, he sees the field well, and does not shy away from contact. I think he is a good back, but does not have Ito Smith speed. I think he will be a good back for you.

But fat-Ass transfers from P5 schools that couldn’t outrun me get to start.

Very good player! He's the best rb in Caddo/Bossier (imo) and I really don't know why Tech wasn't on him. He has a solid frame and will get even stronger at USM. Big time get.
Re: Recruiting Class of 2018
Thanks Boxer. I really appreciate your take on him.
