Bottom line, we "lost" close to 5 or 6 who claim and are advertised to have "opted out". In addition to that we have another two or three who have graduated and will not return.
The good news: Slade Bolden graduated from Bama last week and has three years of eligibility remaining. Some are saying he may come to Tech. If he does, Bama's slot/WR will be our best QB.
He could be the first ever football player to graduate from Tech with a PhD.
Why leave Bama to come play for Doltz? Would be a great addition for Tech, but why would he make such a poor decision?

More PT and much easier for family and friends to watch him play.
Seriously he will have the Bama Sheepskin. He can enjoy life and prep for the NFL over the next 2 to 3 years at Tech.

MaGee dropped Powell's perfect pass just before that. We dropped at least 6 passes today. Didn't help our cause..
BTW, seems to me that Powell should have been QB. Throws a better ball than Allen for sure, and as good as any that Anthony threw.

What is his potential in the NFL? Qb or reciever?

Receiver if...
I'm not saying he can play at that level, but he is certainly a guy who can do what it takes to make it.

Great way to end a lousy season...make it even worse. Lost last two games by a combined 90-13. Now, that's peaking at the right time, eh.
Holtz needs to go. Take your ball and go home, Skippy. Just go.

I don’t need to tell myself that. I already know it. If the Belt’s definition of rising is beating the worst Tech team in a decade, the. Hooray for them.

Having a couple of teams in the top 25 doesn't hurt, either.
It does hurt that it was neither of their really good teams that took us to the woodshed today!

Not a normal year. In a normal year, one Sunbelt team in the top 25 would be outstanding. It has never happened in any normal years.
Even more reason that our HC being so horrible is inexcusable.

Minimum, I think Robert McFarland and possibly Joe Sloan has to go.
Someone has to fall on the sword for this year.
McFarland and the OL woes are the most likely fall guy.
Joe Sloan would be next on the block.

Sloan will be here until Skippy is gone.

I stopped listening after the first possession of the 2nd half. I can honestly say I have never been less emotionally invested in my alma mater.

.....only because he can't get a job doing anything else. Sloan's offense scored 3 points today. In a bowl game. Against a mediocre team, at best. That's a pathetic resume for an OC.
