Since our Narcissist in Chief must respond to every perceived slight, he has announced that our military will guard our Southern border. Kind of like our Framers always intended. Lol
Exactly like our FRAMERS intended. The primary role of the federal guvmint is to defend America and Americans. Why, the FRAMERS were so concerned about national defense they created the 2nd Amendment to assure we have "a rifle behind every blade of grass," as Yamamoto warned.
Ha! Defend us from those mean folks who come here and do the jobs Americans refuse to do?
Who knew the common defense was about landscaping?
That’s BS, but thanks for being a parrot for the market restricting nativists.
Populism is so weak and fearful. Conservatives know that the market will work it all out. Populists want to spend hundreds of billions to fix a “problem” that costs us a small fraction of that.
But hey, it gives Hannity and Rush something to stir the base up with. Math be damned!
Capitalism? You don't even like capitalism.
You are picking and choosing from scripture. Taking it out of context. But don't believe what you use. John is writing to fellow Christians about fellow Christians (brothers). About loving them.
Your reasoning would have us ignore our commanded responsibilities to family and brothers in Christ to provide for those who are not a part that. Not biblical.
I was disappointed. I expected to look at this thread on April 1st and see Guisslapp to say "Happy Easter!" and then immediately say "April Fools!"
And notice how they are already doing their report before interviewing him. When has that happened before?
I seem to remember anti-Hillary folks saying it was deep state to do a write up before the final interview. I explained that it was logical to start a report earlier, but everyone was convinced it was a deep state. I mean how else could you make a conclusion prior to the interview?
Lack of evidence of intent - exactly!
Mueller is part of the Deep State. He is working for the DC Establishment.
Another mixed week for the Trumpster.
China and trade - A- Our intellectual property cost us billions (maybe trillions) to create, so doing something serious to push back was obviously needed. A simple negotiation would have involved China agreeing to stop and then continuing with business as usual, so some sort of hardball was needed here because they cannot be trusted. Finally we are hitting the right target with our trade grievances, but my only concern is that the insulting rhetoric will make it impossible for China to actually remedy those tings that need to be fixed because it will look like they were spanked and HAD to comply. I was glad to hear Trump say he was friends with Xi and say he could work with him, so that might take some of the sting out of a possible compromise. Zuckerberg is the only one that thinks stealing intellectual property is no big deal....because it made him very rich.
Amazon - F- It's up to these brick and mortar guys to figure out how to compete with Amazon. Attacking Amazon like Trump is doing is much like the leftist idiots that continually attacked Walmart. Yes, Jeff Bezos is an azzole, but so is every self-made billionaire (yes Guisslap, even the Donald).
The Caravan - C+ or B- In the world of 20+ trillion dollars of debt, run away entitlements, terrorism, sanctuary cities and a growing welfare state, he gets an A+ for protecting our borders. He loses credit for not pointing out the very hypocrites that were attacking him for saying some countries were chitholes are saying we should allow these people entrance because their countries are unbearable chitholes. He should also be promoting the proper way to become an immigrant (because we DO want immigrants) does not involve dragging your infants and pre-teen children across a hostile landscape. It's difficult to not feel compassion for them whether they can come here or not.

Trump gains ground, much to liberals’ horror
In 2010, as President Obama’s popularity spiraled downward, Jeff Greenfield wrote for CBS News that “historically, no president in modern times has significantly improved his approval numbers in his second year.” Don’t look now, but some polls show President Trump is doing just that.
In the second year of his presidency, President Trump’s approval ratings are climbing, to the utter horror of liberals, who cannot for the life of them understand why.
Some 51 percent of the country now supports the president, according to the Rasmussen poll – up from 42 percent a year ago.
President Obama, at the same date, had 47 percent of the country behind him, down from 57 percent the year earlier.
The stock market is skittish, trade wars loom, President Trump tweets with abandon, Stormy Daniels dominates headlines, White House staff members come and go, and – oh yes – there’s pesky Special Counsel Robert Mueller trying to find evidence that President Trump obstructed justice or that he or his campaign conspired with the Russians.
Democrats wonder, how on Earth can Trump be gaining ground?
Here’s a clue: real growth is running above 3 percent, unemployment claims are the lowest since 1969, wage growth is the best since 2009 and Americans are more optimistic than they have been since 2004.
These are stunning stats, but just as important is this: many Americans think the president is trying to do the right thing. They view him as confronting a hostile media and an entrenched bureaucracy. And on numerous policy issues – like immigration, gun control and trade with China – President Trump is in synch with most Americans.
The same cannot be said for progressive Democrats or, for that matter, many of the Freedom Caucus very conservative types.
How do we know? Polling on the “direction of the country” indicates that Americans are more positive on what’s going on in the United States than they have been since 2009.
Meanwhile, approval ratings for Congress show it surely isn’t our legislators who are getting credit for the positive trend.
The president has long called out media bias; the public is beginning to agree with him. In a recent Gallup survey, nearly half the country thinks that there is a “great deal” of political bias in our news coverage, up from 37 percent in 2012.
A new Rasmussen poll finds that 52 percent of likely U.S. voters believe “when most reporters write or talk about the president, they are trying to block him from passing his agenda,” up from 44 percent a year ago and 47 percent in August.
This is why President Trump calls out the media at every opportunity. Not only is he right, it makes him an underdog, and Americans love underdogs.
On immigration, the president, like most of the country, supports a path to legal status for the so-called Dreamers, but also favors tightening our borders. A huge majority of the country agrees, with both those opinions.
A Harvard Harris poll conducted earlier this year found that 79 percent of Americans favor a secure border, and nearly 70 percent oppose the diversity lottery system now in place. Almost 80 percent prefer merit-based immigration to a policy that prioritizes family ties. A Morning Consult/Politico poll also revealed a preference for merit-based immigration.
The left has become untethered on this topic, increasingly equating legal and illegal immigration. Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez says that asking about citizenship on the U.S. census form is a "craven attack on our democracy." He’s got it exactly backwards; sending legislators to Congress to represent people who are in the country illegally is an attack on our democracy, and most Americans agree.
Gun control is another issue on which the president has veered towards the popular middle, demanding that his administration produce a rule banning bump stocks, for instance.

At a campaign event in Beaverton, OR, Obama claimed to have visited 57 U.S. states during the campaign ...
Exactly! and obummer's dizzy followers believe there are 57 states. After all, their exalted all-knowing leader said as much, and that's enough for them.
Trump's dealing and threat of a trade war is potentially working with China.

China has made such promises before, and nothing ever came of it. We'll see.
Yeah, that was about 6 months ago but they didn’t lay out a timeline.

JOBLESS CLAIMS BELOW 300K LONGEST ON RECORD
By Sarah Chaney
Updated April 12, 2018 11:15 a.m. ET
WASHINGTON—The number of Americans claiming new unemployment benefits has never been so low for so long.
Initial jobless claims, a proxy for layoffs across the U.S., decreased by 9,000 to a seasonally adjusted 233,000 in the week ended April 7, the Labor Department said Thursday. This means claims have now held below 300,000 for 162 consecutive weeks, cementing the longest streak for weekly records dating back to 1967.
The current streak eclipsed the previous longest stretch that ended in April 1970. Taking into account the size of the labor force, claims today compared to the late 1960s and early 1970s are much lower. In March, about 14 initial jobless claims were filed for every 10,000 people in the labor force, Labor Department data show. This compares with 23 claims filed per 10,000 in spring of 1969.
This year, about twice as many people are in the labor force as in 1969.
The consistently low claims levels point to labor market health because they mean relatively few Americans are losing their jobs and applying for benefits to tide them over until they can find new employment.
Our President sure is doing a terrible job.
Again, he is doing a terrible job.
Yeah he was sure keeping Stormy Daniels employed. What a moron lying SOS
So did Trump know about the payment or not? Which version is the truth and which one was the lie? All we know for sure is that the administration has no compunction with lying,
Depends on what the definition of IS is!
Personally I do not care about this whole blown-out-of-proportion matter where he cheated on his wife. This is something I've been conditioned to accept, and has gone on with FDR (and Eleanor), Billy the alleged child molester and world=champion cheater, Kennedy (both the president and the one that basically left a woman to die a horrible death in a submerged vehicle) and now Donald. Suddenly the left is outraged, even though in this case the woman is basically a whore (which means she does this stuff for a living).
Your village is out of control.
At least you recognize that he is being a great president.
They say it came from Trump's own account. So maybe he was lying. We shall see. But it matters not to me as this would be the first time caught lying to protect his "real marriage" from rumors unlike Bill Clinton's real rapes and sexual assaults.
Look clearly it doesn’t matter if he lies. This administration has no integrity. He said it himself. He could do anything and his followers would call him the messiah. It’s sad but it’s reality. The real problem is with evangelicals that should have a problem with it but suddenly don’t. Democrats never run on a holier than thou platform therefore when Clinton did it it was like par for the course. But this SHOULD BOTHER EVANGELICALS but suddenly it doesnt. I'm gay, and I'm afraid that Trump may be taking away my right to be who I want to be.
Clearly the administrator here s altering my post to say what he wants it to say which I think is the ultimate low of all lows. Just because I'm gay does not mean I want people to know.
You should be really ashamed of yourself. Is that the kind of board you really want to have . You should be removed
Your stupid stunts will not silent people who oppose you. It’s just the kind of bullying we have come to expect from you
https://media0.giphy.com/media/m64owtm2s3lKw/giphy.gif
Goosey....the sky is blue!
As an evangelical Christian, Trumps behavior in his personal life does bother me. However, I have seen no evidence that he lives his life the way I try to live mine. I can’t expect a lost person to conduct themselves like a saved person. I have come to expect politicians to lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want. Is Trump any different than the politicians who preceded him?
The biggest problem I see is that progressives keep moving the goal post. There is outrage from the left because of the outrage expressed by conservatives over what Slick Willie did. However, progressives try to be holier than thou when they get mad that conservatives are mad about progressives being mad at Trump for the same behavior as Slick Willie. When Obama says that the Trayvon Martin kid is what his son would look like, the “chosen one” is unifying the country. When Trump does things that encourage growth in our economy and prove it with higher wages and lower unemployment he is somehow dividing the country. It’s like the deck of cards in the croquet match on Alice in Wonderland. Hard to hit a moving target.
I couldn’t agree more about Bill Clinton’s behavior but why impeach one for cheating and not the other for paying off a prostitute. Where is the outrage from the right that was there for Bill Clinton.
So you finally agree that Hillary was not worthy of support?
I don't find Trump any more dishonest than Obama. Trump just doesn't have the benefit of a sycophantic press covering for him. Yes, Trump is less than 100% truthful at times, but which presidential candidate (or president) has not been? The two that were closest to being that way (Ted Cruz and Mitt Romney) were soundly defeated at the ballot box.
On the other hand, Trump is a guy that is doing what he said he would do when he ran for the office, making him MORE honest than all the others in this regard. And like it or not, what he is doing seems to be working as unemployment continues to tick down, the economy is getting stronger, and strangely enough his foreign policy is reaping dividends. What I like about him the most is that he has exposed Republicans for their unwillingness to actually govern, and even they are starting to do what they were sent there to do. If not for the dishonesty and evil policies of the dems pushing a socialist agenda and dividing the country with identity politics, and the inability of the republican party to stop them, Trump would never have happened.
Or....maybe it was all because of some youtube video....
THIS is TDS at it's worst. I have looked at Trump's "lies", and they are mostly pompous embellishments born of overstating stuff to try and prove a point. Kinda like saying...well..."Trump is close to zero percent honest". You are calling out Trump for something you do when calling him out! Priceless.
Very few.
Trump talks like a real estate guy, because he had a real job before becoming president as a real estate guy. Just like I knew Obama would work to create "villains" and divide the country by race, issue, economic status and play the hero to each group. It's because that's what "community organizers" do.
Ever bought a house? "Needs TLC", "lots of potential" and a "Handyman special" usually mean the house is on the verge of getting condemned. It's kind of like an auto sales person with the "air blows cold" pitch.
Trump is also from New York, which means he is prone to saying stuff like "best of all time" and "greatest ever" off the cuff, much like Chuck Schumer with his crying spells in front of any camera he could find to show something as the "worst ever".
There has never been, and will likely never be, a more non-partisan president in the oval office. Trump is open to whatever is brought to him, and in doing so has suffered the wrath of both major parties who flourished under the status quo. If any of this was agenda driven, he could be easily swayed to one side or the other because he is about making "the best, most super colossal deal ever that will never be done ever again and it will be HUGE and beautiful and etc.". This resistance movement is born out of jealousy and hate, and the desire to return to the times when virtually nothing was expected of elected officials and issues were largely solved via finger pointing and nothing more.
I was afraid the dems would use this to advance their agenda, but I am thinking they really don't have an agenda except to obtain and hold power. DACA obviously wasn't that important to them in hindsight.
Trump is prone to superlatives. It's part of his personality, and the fact he's very much a Type A. He doesn't mind tooting his own horn, which is another trait of highly successful people. They are self promoters. He's also too honest for his own good, insomuch as he often expresses his thoughts out loud. He's not very tactful. But lies? Nothing of any significance....yet. I honestly don't remember what he said of gun rights/gun control during the campaign. I thought he was pretty much pro-2nd Amendment. But, his willingness to make concessions to the loonies is not what I expected. Ditto on the DACA thing and his upping the ante. But, was it a lie? Maybe, although I don't recall him stating anything to the contrary.
Mostly Trump is delivering on his campaign promises, which is another reason The Swamp is so anti-Trump. What politician ever kept his campaign promises?
What a difference a great President makes. Obama was totally worthless and didn't care for the average American if it didn't fit his PC agenda. IMHO. And Trump fulfills his promises.
3 Americans detained in North Korea 'in good health' and on way back to US with Pompeo, Trump says
Three Americans detained in North Korea "seem to be in good health" and are on their way back to the United States, President Trump announced in a Wednesday tweet.
NKOREA RELEASES AMERICAN PRISONERS
TRUMP TO GREET AT 2AM ARRIVAL
Good news.
You do realize that Clinton, Bush and Obama also secured prisoner releases from NK. And, contrary to the lies told by Trump, 2 of these 3 prisoners were detained during Trump’s presidency.
And Trump got them released with his expert negotiating skills and strategies. The N.Korea dictator doesn't want to be snuffed in the night by our awesome military and is and will continue to deal with Trump unlike Obama, Bush's, Clinton's.
Well, let's look at the facts. Obama, Bush and Clinton followed the strategy of strategic patience and appeasement to deal with the threat of North Korea. They gave them stuff (food, money, etc.), which the NK regime converted into building a military and nuke arsenal.
Trump has NOT done these things. As far as I can tell, he has promised North Korea nothing, except maybe a future without his foot on their throat. He is not rewarding bad actions with goodies they can free up to further threaten us.
If I go into a dealership to purchase a vehicle and you do the same, and you offer $5,000 over MSRP and I get a decent discount off of the price, do you consider our negotiation skills equal because we both left with a car?
Trump tweets : “The Fake News is working overtime. Just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 91% of the Network News about me is negative (Fake). Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt? Take away credentials?“
It is grossly irresponsible for a President of the US to promote such an anti-free speech ideology, even if he means it as a joke, especially when he knows that he has a sizable base of support that will support him no matter what (even if he shouts someone dead on the street on 5th Avenue).
I am not convinced that white house credentials are covered in the 1A.
The media is a partisan joke. Personally, I would just stop letting them ask questions during the press conferences, because they just spin whatever is said to align with dem talking points anyway. Answering their questions is like answering the proverbial "Do you still beat your wife?" question. I think they have lost most of their credibility during this period because what they've done has not been subtle at all. They are blatant partisans, and they hate Trump because he beat their preferred candidate.
If what you see happening in the country right now is 91% negative, you have just made a conscious decision to be against anything Trump does, which is about as dumb as it gets.
I am not against everything Trump does.
The problem is that 91% of the time when Trump speaks or tweets, something really stupid (or worse) comes out.
You think that but the majority of the country agree with most of his tweets and Trump is usually dead on right with his tweets.
Oh and BTW,
- KAZIANIS: North Korea releases 3 US detainees, shows Trump's
- 'get tough' policy is working
- Trump and North Korea's Kim expected to discuss denuclearization, economy during historic summit
- Trump's approval rises as study shows 91% negative coverage; 'The Five' sound off
- 5:27 Gorka: North Korea is model for how US should deal with Iran
- National security expert: North Korea prisoner release 'historic,'
- Trump must be considered for Nobel
Aw... They make such a cute couple!

Too much of the "establishment" media, including FOX, is missing the point re: the 2018 mid-term elections. There is this on-going tendency to directly link the (R) candidates to Trump, and both sides are making this mistake. The establishment Republican Party is just as guilty as the Democrap Party, IN THE MINDS OF MILLIONS OF VOTERS!!!!!!!! This is a point that is missed. You see media types, again from CNN to FOX, and all in-between, commenting that such-n-such (R) candidate didn't do as well as Trump did with those voters. Even when a (R) wins an election, the margins are considerably smaller than what Trump carried. And these media-types link that to dissatisfaction with Trump. Wrong!
The Repubs are in trouble of losing the House (probably not the Senate...this go-around) because they are viewed as anti-Trumpers. Look at morons like John McCain, and the disappointing actions of Ryan and McConnell as leaders in Congress, and voters say, why the hell should we vote to keep those idiots in power?
The (D) won that special-election in Penn because he cast himself as a Trump clone. He won't be. It was a ruse just to get elected. Leaks out of his campaign indicate he really doesn't support all he said he did, the lone exception is Trump's position on increasing job opportunities for Americans. But, that guy won't even have a chance to support those positive policies because Nancy Pelosi will control how he votes in Congress.
But the point is, those candidates, either (R) or (D), who SOUND like Trump during their campaigns have a MUCH better chance of winning. This has already been demonstrated. So....why is that? Simple, many Americans are fed up with the Swamp in DC and want to elect people who will go there and make positive changes. And this is true from both directions, which is why crazy Bernie Sanders did so well with leftists. Krooked Killary is viewed as a Swamper too.
So, remember all of this when you follow the build-up toward the '18 mid-terms. This is NOT a referendum on President Trump, per se. It's about draining the Swamp.
And now, predictably, goosey will try to deny this truth with a personal attack on President Trump. Go ahead, goosey, get your BS out of the way.
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018...-gates-hiv-hpv
Bill Gates would be wrong. Trump is not dumber than I thought.
Trump will put the GOP in a safe position and over the top in November.
Bill Gates is not too bright himself. Yes, he has an understanding of technology and he was smart enough to ride the coattails of those around him and he built a software empire. True. But, he is woefully devoid of common sense outside of his techy world.
Have you ever listened to Gates when engaged in an extended conversation outside of his area of expertise? Leaves you scratching your head...
:D Trump keeps his promises.
US, China officials reach tentative agreement on ending American trade deficit
http://a57.foxnews.com/hp.foxnews.co....jpg?tl=1&ve=1TRADE-TALK SUCCESS
United States and China officials have agreed this weekend to take steps to reduce the U.S. trade deficit, the White House said Saturday.
The agreement between the world's two biggest economies was made this week in Washington by high-level negotiators from both countries, including Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.
“There was a consensus on taking effective measures to substantially reduce the United States trade deficit in goods with China,” the White House said, in what it described as a joint statement with China.

This is one statistic I wish Trump would stop quoting (he sounds like Guisslap when he does it). This trade deficit statistic is misleading and in my opinion we really do not want to solve it.
There is no way China is going to catch up with the US in consumption any time in the near future. What we want them to do is stop stealing intellectual property (pay for what they are taking), stop dumping junk at less than it costs to make which destroys critical industrial capacity and remove barriers (tariffs) they have set up to limit imports from the USA. The trade deficit will (hopefully) still exist. I actually hope it gets bigger, meaning we get richer selling more goods to everyone and our consumption goes up.
I am glad he is confronting them about those issues. We finally have someone willing to do it in the White House.
Drain the swamp. Lol

That's also how I feel about Hannity and MSNBC, so it's not a tribal thing. I just don't think I want my "news" with someone's agenda (like Guisslap posting a link to some hit opinion piece about Trump not adhering to Constitutional principles....I just don't want to be that kind of follower).
Wasn’t posting news.
