As we all are. Still wondering why you haven't answered my question. Do you think the former AoC's comments apply to the Christians in the Middle East or are the Middle Eastern Christians whining about perceived slights?

Good. Thanks for answering that one.
Re: More persecution of Christians
BTW, for those that might not understand, this thread is so that others can pray for Christians that are persecuted around the world for their faith.

Re: More persecution of Christians
TT. Why do you post this stuff? Woof has already given us a link that shows the former AoC saying these Christians are basically blowing this stuff out of proportion, and that he/she agree with the former AoC. So, there's no real persecution of Christians in the Middle East or anywhere else for that matters.

Inaccurate headline. It's not removed. Just no longer required, which ends the persecution of other religions and non-believers.

BS. I attended the USAFA and if it's not required or used anymore, for the reasons listed in the article, then it has been removed for nothing more than "More persecution of Christians". And again it has happened because of the Obama ADM and the folks he has placed in charge. remember, "We are not a Christian nation any more" per Hussein O and he is trying to make that statement true and to his liking and image.

Why does it make sense for someone who does not believe in God to pledge his or her honor "so help me God?" Doesn't that diminish the meaning of the phrase for those who do believe in God?

So I guess you would have atheist then pledge or swear "By the beard of Zeus!" or "Great Odens Raven!"? How about in court...."On my mother's grave"?

Of course not--but I like your sense of humor, Tyler (nice Anchorman reference). Atheists can exercise their option to omit "so help me God" when they give their honor oath.
My questions went unanswered: why does it make sense to have a non-believer swear on the name of someone in whom they don't believe? And, doesn't doing that diminish the oath of believers?
