Of course we would have to sign the inside so it doesn't show on the new pretty construction. Just a random idea, call it stupid if you want. $100 per brick, sound good?
I'd be in...

Re: First Look at the Jumbotron
Bruce VDV said that all the bricks in the project are donated. Kinda makes me wonder what all kind of freebie work on this and other projects is being done that we don't ever hear about.
Re: First Look at the Jumbotron
Ruston Brick donates a lot of bricks I thought. (Jay)

Donated is good too. Even if TECH doesn't make money, not spending it is still pretty good.
Question- Are they going to repaint the red metal supports that the new stadium seats are bolted to? It would be great if that was done. Also, we need the row designations repainted on the concrete steps.

What are you talking about?

The red metal frames that the seats are attached to. Is that being replaced or painted or something?

I am certain the metal frames of the old seats are being replaced as well. They will be all-new assemblies.
Any idea if they have thought about bricking the lower field-level wall of the stadium to match the jumbotron? I think any brick money raising should go towards this since the jumbotron is already a done deal. And I would not pay more to sign a brick and have that hidden. Folks want to be able to see and show to others where their money went. It is cheap and easy to have names of donors etched into the face of bricks, and would not look bad at a distance.

I would go with that if the names are etched in. I was thinking of uniformity when I said it could be signed on the inside. It would look like a jr high project if everyone signed it with a Sharpie on the outside. And yeah, at a distance you wouldn't even see the names on there.
