We appreciate all the support from y'all!
What's the worst case scenario?
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
None of us going.
I said "a" best case scenario. "The" best would have been all of us going with no need for fundraising/donations.

Upon further self-examination, I suppose I cannot rule out the presence, at some level, of this motivation you describe.

Now, wouldn't it be nice for a bump in LTAC Young Alumni membership in the near future?
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
I called the alumni association to donate money to the band and regal blues to help get them there and they told me they were only $2000 short of raising enough to send the whole band.
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
I find it very funny that since they got their funding for the trip, none of these band people have returned to give so much as a thank you. Talk about take the money and run.
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
I'm sure they are grateful since they came here to beg.:icon_wink:
We live in an entitlement society. Many folks aren't raised to be grateful these days.

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they're working hard on their routines and they'll be back to say thank you after the bowl game.

I'll say thank you on their behalf, happy?
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
No. As much of a bitch fest they put up on here, facebook, and in the media, you would at least give a little gratitude for having their wishes granted.

Again...please don't lump all ~150 of the BoP in with "them".
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
I'm not referring to the whole band. I'm referring to the 10 or so members who joined the board for a week just to beg for money and then all of a sudden banished after getting the money.

Who knows...maybe, they were asked to not post anymore by the administration or JR.
Re: Band of Pride Fundraiser
My reason for donating money to them was not to be thanked. My reason for donating was to help my Alma Mater have a good representation and look like a first class University when we go to San Diego. As far as I'm concerned, if our spirit groups represent our University positively and the job they do shines a positive light on us, then that is thank you enough.

Exactly. Although, these kids will undoubtedly appreciate the assistance, this was for the university.
