I think a lot of people have bought GA tickets from what I am hearing. I am expecting a good crowd but a little surprised by the number not planning to attend because it does interfere with their Christmas plans.

Except for the top 8-10 bowl games it doesn't matter who is playing attendance is pretty bad. P5 schools don't sell many tickets either if they are not playing in a big time bowl game. I think the landscape has changed over the last 5-7 years regarding ticket sales and invites, etc. The number of bowl games has probably come close to doubling in last 10 years and 7-5, 6-6 teams from P5 are not buying a lot of tickets.
South Carolina fans from the mighty S-E-C have bought less than 800 tickets to the Independence Bowl, which is Saturday mid-afternoon two days after Christmas.
I think that's a poor assumption that Tech fans are lazy. There are lots of reasons many Tech fans can't go that have nothing to do with laziness. Many Tech fans are going but aren't paying $75 per ticket when there are much cheaper and even free tickets out there. I'd back off bashing our fans.
Yes that is way too many of Tech alumni (especially many engineers by nature) and N. La are in general IMNSHO.
This is the culture that our ADM is and will help change hopefully. And BB&B and fans like us that care to read and post about TECH will be a large part of the backbone that changes TECH for the better I believe.
Okay, how many of you went to Tech's first bowl game. How about you Dogsince65? 70Techgrad?
