By the time the 4th quarter rolls around a lot of us are too hoarse to yell.

Its fine when Champ does it. Just make him do it every game.

I thought about clarifying my comment before I posted but I decided this would be more fun.

So like we might say "We are..." 3 times before we hear the far side saying "Bulldogs!" So if we decide "ok, just 3 times," then we'd be ending it by the time we finally got it going. Even now with Champ holding up signs, it can still take a couple times before everyone notices and joins in, so I don't think you can really set a predetermined number.
I have no problem with doing it at basketball games personally, as long as everyone will participate (esp when we're playing Marshall since they do "We are.. Marshall.") The only time it's really difficult is at neutral site/away football games because most/all of our fans are on one side of the stadium so you can't really get it working well.
I will say I really like how we've started doing it right before the team takes the field. I think it adds a lot to the pregame hype and ceremony, much like how Virginia Tech does "Let's go... Hokies!"
It's unorganized, lame, and far from original. Move the chains is great, but we have managed to screw it up for so many years our fans are now tired of trying. Adding all that BS at the end (like the Baby in the Alma Mater) is just stupid.

Baby in the alma mater is at least fun and has turned into a tradition.
The extra stuff after move the chains started like ten years ago and it isn't even followed by the whole student section. At least the alma mater "baby" is fairly audible

Just for posterity...
The "baby" was added by the drumline in 1997 as a joke. The rest of the band and the students caught on. You're welcome. Luckily, they didn't catch on to some other things.
"Move the chains" was a Robken addition in 1999. Originally there were no tags on the end. I, therefore, assume no culpability in that one.

Well sorry you feel that way, but many of us love it. We are Bulldogs sounds great when the whole stadium is in unison. Move the chains is fun, as is yelling baby. I honestly wish we had more stuff like this, since many other schools do and they put us to shame.

Revisionist history, much like fake news.
Re: The O.K. "Buddy" Davis Pressbox (former Demolition Thread)
Don't worry about it, the band will do it no matter what. LBN and the rest of the stadium/arena just need to make sure they are paying attention to the band, time it right, and it will sound fine. Its pretty fun to do.

Is this the WKU guy that said our stadium is asymmetrical?
