Re: Week 12: @UTEP (11/18)
Until CUSA lays out some minimum requirements for video productions, we will continue to get this wonderful product. Each time I tried to use it, it seemed like the producers were learning on the job because it generally got a little better the second half.
Re: Week 12: @UTEP (11/18)
I think Tech is missing out on $$$. We need to have some sponsors on our CUSA.tv broadcasts.
Have a sponsor for the score ticker
Have another sponsor for stats update during commercials (we need to have stats during commercials)
Have a sponsor for replays
have a sponsor for halftime/postgame highlights
Also, instead of manually updating the clock ever so often, put a camera on the game clock/shot clock.

Very good ideas!

I'm sure you can make the shot clock/game clock smaller, but this is just an idea.

I dont know if I like the camera clock. Should be pretty simple to sync the graphic to the actual clock automagically.
But we definitely need more sponsors.

We have a daktronic score system, they need to call them up to get the integration from the score system to the score/timer bug.

I was surprised that Auburn didn't have any graphics on their WBB broadcast yesterday.

I was surprised as well. They put a lot of money in their video production for their sports program, what they produced looked pretty good but lacks the score bug.

Man we could do so many little things but they just get overlooked. Makes me wonder how much they care about the fan base. Not the press box donors (they are very important) but the average joe that takes off work to go support their team.

He who can be trusted with little will be trusted with much. Our admin may not qualify.

Even though Dave and Teddy were a play ahead, I found it more enjoyable to listen to them and watch the video.

I don't know what you do for a living, but you are missing your calling if you're not in TV production. Those are some great ideas.

The problem is a lack of talent. It takes talent and know-how to do all these little things. And real talent isn't going to do it for nothing.
