I was not comparing Trump to Manson. I was trying to illustrate that "democrats do it too" is a weak defense. Because somebody else behaves badly is not a reason for everyone to behave badly. I maintain that "hitting back" is more often a weakness than a strength, particularly in a public official.

As far hate directed at Trump … wah. He freely chose the single most highly scrutinized and criticized job perhaps all human history. If he cant take it gracefully, it serves to corroborate the "big baby" narrative his critics allege.

Over 3 years of being investigated by crooked FBI officials and crooked democrats that supported Hillary Clinton and you think he should not fight back? He would be the weakest man on this planet if he didn't. I'm glad he hit back at Cummings. He is a disgusting human, just like Nadler, Schitt, and the rest of your liberal democrats. His wife stole $250,000 from a tax free charity and none of the news media except FNC has even mentioned it.

Unfortunately what Trump is teaching the right is that taking it gracefully wasn't going to bring change. People like yourself were never going to hold anyone on the left accountable. They can't see the bad behavior from within their bubble, and taking it gracefully was only allowing that bubble to grow.

That sounds like propaganda. He was the ONLY one who could affect change. We don't know that. Further, we don't know what of his change is going to stick. Beyond that, Trump has given conservatives some wins (no doubt). He's also dealt some serious blows to free-market capitalists. There's not much difference between Elizabeth Warren's economic plan and Tucker Carlson's.

The Left is never held accountable...not as a whole. A few lefty individuals are...like Al Franken (the bozo), but the loony Left and its moronic followers never are. (except by a few of us). Trump pushes back and the Left and the lamestream media can't handle the heat. What's more! now we are seeing other GOPers, like Lindsey Graham, standing up to the bullies on the Left. I didn't say he was the only one, or even that he was the best one, but he was willing to put himself in the cross-hairs by standing up to them as few (maybe none) have done before. So far the attacks have failed to do much damage. He's become a "Teflon Don" as even the areas of legitimate criticism seem to slide right off. I don't view his "blows to free-market capitalists" are as much of a concern to me because i view them as minor relative to the damage done in the past. His complete lack of fiscal responsibility is the concerning thing to me.

Trump is tied with Obama at this time in their Presidencies.

This thread was noticeably silent during the whole "king of Isreal" / "second coming" / "chosen one" affair. I've suggested before that the President is, to many of his followers, an infallible messiah above any reproach or criticism. And now he's even been using messianic language to describe himself. Of course, it was dismissed by his supporters as out-of-context / fake news / etc .

I wonder if he were to demand outright worship, how some members of this board would respond.
