I grew up in Shreveport. For years...we only had channel 12. Then, we got channel 3.....wow 2 stations!!! Then we got channel 6....I thought ....wow 3 channels...it doesn't get much better than this!!!!

Do you remember The "geezer" episode. Lightnin' (hiding in the shrub) was supposed to hit the pump and cause "oil" to come up out of the miniature oil well in the back yard of the facade house kingfish was trying to sell??? "You heard of tha geyser, this here is your geezer."

My next door neighbor (who was a jeweler) got a color TV. The very first TV show I saw in color was Bonanza. That was AWSOME....seeing everything in color!!! The thing was....even though you might have a color TV...most shows were still in black & white.
