I think that if Trump would have came out as an outspoken advocate for masks from the beginning, it wouldn’t be a political statement not to wear them.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
👍 Biden couldn’t even get a girl registered Cub Scout Pack or gay Boy Scout Troop to show up for him.
Pro-Trump supporters clogged freeways in at least three historically Democratic strongholds Sunday in support of the president days before Tuesday's election.
In Cheesequake, N.J., a video posted to Twitter showed hundreds of vehicles on a congested Garden State Parkway as people in a pro-Trump convoy got out and waved "Trump 2020" and pro-police flags.
“WHOOO! We shut it down baby! We shut it down!” one person is heard as the camera shows traffic at a standstill on the northbound lanes.
Not every motorist was amused. One Twitter user posted singing: “You suck, you suck, everyone on the right lane sucks" as she passes the pro-Trump caravan. Another user said the traffic jam caused first responders to take the long route to a hospital.
In New York, a Trump supporter captured a line of cars with pro-Trump flags between Seaford and Montauk in Long Island that has since been deleted, The Daily Beast reported. A similar lineup was also seen on New York State Route 25.
A Jews for Trump caravan was also reportedly seen on what appeared to be the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge near New York City.
A Daily Beast reporter in Maryland witnessed another caravan of Trump supporters in wheels. The same scene was also reported Sunday in Pasadena, Calif., a suburb of Los Angeles.
Videos of vehicles traveling together with pro-Trump flags and insignia on freeways and bridges flooded social media over the weekend.
The groundswell of support comes after Trump supporters in trucks surrounded a Joe Biden campaign bus in Texas, prompting staffers to call 911 on Friday. The vehicles formed a so-called "Trump train" while waving flags and honking horns as the bus traveled on Interstate 35, bound from San Antonio to Austin.

Mike Rowe with an excellent post:
People who hate Trump almost as much as Biden voters hate Trump, but who hate the “woke culture,” even more. These people are exhausted by nightly images of rioters and looters allowed to run amuck. They’re sick of the incessant virtue signaling from every quarter of society. They're weary of cancel culture, safe spaces, “mostly peaceful” protests, the 1619 Project, and the countless attacks on free speech, and lectures from what they believe to be a completely biased media. For them, Trump is not a candidate - he's a giant middle finger to those who would suppress the Hunter Biden story, or re-edit Gone With the Wind, or rewrite Huck Finn, or disrespect our flag, or topple statues of anyone who doesn't measure up to their enlightened sensibilities. For these people, Trump is the only way to confront the "wokeness" that now defines big media, higher education, corporate America, Hollywood, and professional sports." It's the only way to say, "Enough already."
I don’t have a prediction, Mark, but I think these “reluctant Trumpers” - especially those I've just described - exist in greater numbers than we think.

I don’t know that Mike is wrong. The question is, has the Trump campaign sufficiently saddled Biden with all of wokedom. The campaign was obviously geared up to run against Bernie and didn’t really alter the plan when Bernie got beat. So, if Trump loses, either the voters he is referring to don’t see that in Biden OR there are far fewer of them than Mike suggests. We should know by the end of the week (betting markets say we’ll know Wednesday).

Gotta give the GOP in PA credit for this. In 7 very red counties, they are not going to start counting any votes until after the mail in deadline. This way the democrats will not know how many votes they need to "find" in some truck somewhere to make up the difference as they did in Orange County CA.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Interesting indeed!
Poll that nailed 2016 election publishes final 2020 survey
Will Donald Trump shock the world again?
Published November 2, 2020
A polling company that correctly predicted Britain's Brexit vote and the election of Donald Trump in 2016 has published its final 2020 survey, which indicates President Trump will get another four years.
The Democracy Institute poll for the Sunday Express finds Trump will win the vote nationally by 48% to 47% over Joe Biden. In 2016, Hillary Clinton received 2.87 million more votes nationally than Trump.
In the tally that counts, the Electoral College, Trump is on course to win by 326 to 212 votes, 22 more than in 2016.
The Democracy Institute said that in the final days of the campaign, the revelations from Hunter Biden's laptop and other sources of alleged influence peddling by Joe Biden and his family had an impact. The controversy over Twitter's censorship of the story only enhanced its profile

The way they call states when the reported numbers are just the opposite is interesting. If this were a football game...
Team A 17 Team B 3 about midway in the 2nd qtr, Team A is not only winning, 17-3, but playing well. Then the pundits say, "We can now call this one for Team B by about two touchdowns." What?

I noticed that, too. Like, right now, one source has Trump up 200,000 in Virginia and it's a toss-up still while other sources have it called for Biden despite also showing the same Trump lead. Also, no two sources have the same results even though they are fed the same information, which is even more weird.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Again.. many democrats are calling for the elimination of the electoral college. This requires a constitutional amendment, which even if it did make it through Congress, would never pass the the state ratification process, as many states would be giving up their voice in a presidential election.
-
Re: Presidential Election 2020
Dems are very busy this morning...damn! they are having to create millions of fake ballots to steal the election in 5 states. That can't be done over-night.
-
Re: Presidential Election 2020
$$$$ money, money, money...
This is actually a good thing, I think. This election cycle shows you really can't buy elections. Look at Florida and the two senate races trying to unseat McConnell and Graham. Holy moly!!! The Dems out-spent the GOP by $tens of millions in just those three elections. They spent $200 million trying to beat McConnell and Graham! Bloomberg spent $100 million of his own money trying to beat Trump in Florida, and that in addition to what the Biden campaign spent. Across the nation the Dems out-spent the GOP by a $billion+. Given the results they didn't get much for their money.
I know of a couple of local campaigns where the Dem tripled the spending of their GOP and Indy opponents, and got beat fairly well, 54% to 46% on average. I know them, and their campaign managers very well. Last night, at around 10:00, I visited with them at their HQs (free food, ya understand!) and they were in shock. I was not too surprised by the results. I also know of their opponents, not too personally, but by reputation and in one case, via some business dealings, and they are accomplished and quality folks.
What does it all mean? I suppose that it is comforting to see that many, many Americans can see thru the BS and are not influenced by fancy political campaigns and all the trappings...can you say 10 large billboards!!??
-
Re: Presidential Election 2020
So...the national polls missed it again. Biden was supposed to win fairly easily 30+ states, sweeping to a huge EC victory. The Dems might still steal the election...they are certainly trying...but clearly it was no "blue wave" the polls predicted. The GOP held serve in the Senate and looks like will actually gain 4 seats in the House. The polls had the Dems increasing their hold on the House.
Caveat alert!!! Have to remind everyone how the Dems stole seats in the House in 2018, reversing the results in 12 elections, 8 of them in California, with "ballots found in the trunks of cars." Perhaps the national pollsters know to build in the cheating factor...
Other than that, I found some of the early exit polling and other analysis interesting. Those who voted for Trump, 80% say they voted FOR him, of those who voted for Biden, 49% said they voted AGAINST Trump. Half of the votes Biden got were not for him. Yes, Trump benefitted from a anti-Killary vote in 2016, but don't think it was half his votes.
Saw a report that Trump got 15% of the black vote, which is twice what he got in 2016. But fell short of the 20+% some Trump supporters were touting.
-
Re: Presidential Election 2020
Same ole crap. The Dems want to stall this as long as possible. If they lose, they will go to court and fight Trump at every turn for the next four years. If they win, all of a sudden it’s all peace and love and we all need to come together and unify as a nation.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
We all knew that Trump needed a wide margin of legit votes to overcome the cheating the Dems will do. I fear he did not garner enough of a buffer to hold his lead in these remaining states. I will be surprised if Trump wins this.
Thankfully the GOP has held the Senate...well, at least according to the pundits, but right now the "official" count is 47-47 with races still pending being called. I am sure the Dems are trying to steal some of those too.

Yeah, hopefully. I am such a cynic that until it is officially official!! I have some doubts. But, yeah, with the Senate the GOP can block the extremist lefty agenda. But, I would also hope that on some issues the GOP Senate would cooperate/negotiate and pass legislation that is beneficial to the country and to Americans, even if it's not exactly what they (we) would prefer. For instance, let's say Pelosi/Harris-Biden want a spending bill of $2 billion on something, and the GOP Senate agrees but wants to limit it to $1.5 billion. I would hope instead of just saying Nope! which is what the Dems would do, get down in the mud and negotiate even if the final price tag is $1.8 billion, closer to what they wanted. If it is important enough to pass it, choose your battles and not haggle over $100 million here or there. Don't deny the American people something just because you want to win a political fight.
But HELL YEAH!! absolutely dig in your heels and deny any crazy lefty stuff!

Depends on how you choose to view it. If you think the "media" sucks and is part of the problem then being "mainstream" means you're smack in the middle of the mess. The libtard networks are all part and parcel to the on-going disinformation scandal, of not being "news" organizations, but rather propaganda machines for the left. Given that definition then FOX is "anti-mainstream," which is how I choose to classify it all.
On the other hand, if you are saying FOX represents what is truly "mainstream" America, then yeah...

Re: Presidential Election 2020
At the end of the day, Biden will win, Republicans will keep the senate, and things will be pretty level headed, which will be good for all, especially long term. Democrats will declare victory for their liberal policies, but the truth of the matter is that their candidate and party will only barely eek out a victory over a psychopath. The Republicans will have about a year or two to start internally promoting a candidate who has the charisma of Donald Trump, but who is not batshit crazy.
-
Re: Presidential Election 2020
I think Harris-Biden "wins" too. Of course, the Dems will turn this into a "landslide" and claim Harris-Biden have a mandate, yeah baby! As for Trump being "batshit crazy." Yeah, what the eff was he thinking? Putting himself thru this mess for 4 years...the lies, plots, hoaxes, all just to do something grand for the average American...whoa! what a maroon! Now he has to go back to his $billionaire life and endure Secret Service agents hanging around the rest of his life. That sucks.

I don't remember silencers and night vision being the norm during those 8 years of Obama.

Well, except maybe you.
I really don’t understand what upsets you about Trump’s demeanor. You were perfectly fine with Republicans bending over and taking it up the ass from the likes of Harry Reid, Obama, etc. for all these years.

Haha...their master evil plan? Count legally cast ballots.

Legally cast ballots is such a relative term with the democrats and RINOs.
It's not the casting of ballots that is in question. It's the counting of those ballots. Try to focus on polling stats instead of real numbers.

The point is, are they legal? Arguments are that in many many 1000s of cases the ballots are not legal nor were they counted legally. You can’t jump to the end without working through the middle.

You wish.

The person arguing that the votes were illegal or counted improperly really should have some evidence for that.

No good arguments say that. No evidence, just a whiner trying to make himself feel better by casting doubt about n a result that makes him look bad.

Right now, 16 states consisting of 196 electoral votes have made the pact. 4 states consisting of a further 60 electoral votes are pending in some form. 18 other states have it cooking. So far, none of the 16 have acted on it because the pact requires having the 270.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
as someone who wishes both candidates could lose, that early-morning biden bump does look pretty fishy. not saying it's illegitimate, but i hope they did a good job of keeping things transparent and well-documented.
also, the subversion of the electoral college is a terrible idea. campaigns are built around winning the electoral vote, and the electoral college reality influences voters. for example, how many republicans stay home in california and new york because they know their vote is useless? if you want to change it to popular vote, change it with an amendment, but don't pretend the popular vote in any given election is indicative of what it would be if that were the way the election was decided.

You really need to practice your reading comprehension skills. First, re-read what I wrote. I asked a question and pointed out what’s taking place. I didn’t draw a conclusion and for sure wasn’t whining about anything. For someone that I see post a lot on here I really thought you would’ve been more astute than what you just showed.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
If all they are doing in Philly is "counting legally cast votes" then why have they denied GOP poll watchers from the process? (we all know why...)
Stupid-ass protestors are burning American flags in NY and Philly and chanting "count all votes," and in Detroit, because Michigan has been declared for Harris-Biden, protestors are chanting "stop the count!" LOL! Nothing hypocritical there, eh.

Your “question” assumed facts not in evidence.

That would be an inference, not an assumption. You guys do that a lot.

Everyone was expecting it to happen, including Trump which is why he wanted them to stop counting.
Has everything to do with the substantial split between walk up Election Day vote and the early + mail in vote. The former is typically Republican and the latter is Democrat. This year was no exception. The states that track party affiliation of early and mail in voters showing at least a 60-40 split favoring Dems for mail in vote and early votes. This phenomenon is also why Republicans attack the mail in vote before the election in courts of law and the public opinion.
I have no idea why Republicans wait until Election Day to vote. Any ideas?

Well, you of all people should also know that the polls have “judges” that are from both parties there at all times. Same is true for where ballots are counted. Claims of lack of transparency are not credible when you know how the process actually works. You should.

Speaking specifically about Philly and a couple of other key locations. I can believe my own eyes.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
I KNOW Trump won this election...it may be stolen from him, but he won it.
Now, all this talk about how Trump has destroyed the GOP...ya know, there are one or two such fools on this very board...well, look at the complete results. The GOP held and even flipped a couple of state legislatures, netted 7 more House seats, should hold the Senate (unless the theft extends to those pending races too). Trump has made inroads into both the Black and Hispanic communities...polling way better than McCain, Romney, GWB ever did. Trump has dragged the GOP, kicking and screaming, back toward the center-right...just look how long term Senators finally grew a pair and fought for TWO Supreme Court nominations. Lindsey Graham was never that bold before Trump came along and showed him and others how to stand up and fight.
I know Goosey is a commie bastard, so I expect him to continue his lying and bashing of everything "American," but a couple others on here claim to be "conservative" caring about the future of the GOP, but oh my! the bad orange man was wrecking it all! Yet, I do not see any posts celebrating GOP victories, such as flipping 7 House seats. That's because you are also nothing but commie bastards too. Stop the pretense. Stick that hammer & cycle patch on your shoulder and be proud of your Marxist selves!
