Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)

It's like these games are cursed
Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)
We played a hell of a game boys.. That was a fight to the finish. I know it doesn't make it any easier..
You can point to some things that went wrong, but things go wrong for every team in every game.
It took more than one near miracle for SC to win that game, but unfortunately they got those miracles.
Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)
This is a total team loss. Both sides played well enough to win, we just didnt. Settled for FGs, allowing big plays at the worst times, missed FG, the INT, questionable play callin at times... everyone messed up *just* enough today for US to steal that one from us.
Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)
These teams always seem to get miracles against us. I sense a trend.

They were given those miracles. They weren't miracles.
We had to play perfect to beat the house, and one mistake is all it took.

We also snapped the ball with 25 on the play clock at the 2:00 mark and the clock running. That’s not getting a miracle; that’s us using poor clock management to give them the game.
Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)
Turning point, when J'Mar threw the INT and they moved the ball up field for a TD. We went Oh sh*t and they rallied back.
We allowed them back into the game. The energy in the stadium for them was dead before that event.

At what point do they stop being miracles and being just routine?

We didn't need to play perfect. Just good.
Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)
Never underestimate the ability of Skip Holtz to take a comfortable win and turn it into a close loss or close win.

Too many "near miracles" in the past five seasons I'd say
Re: Week 4: @South Carolina (9/23)
Jeez, I don't even give a damn about the rest of the year. Even winning out from here on doesn't impress me. I'm bored of crap like C-USA when I know we have the talent to do better.
