GOP stuck on 217?
Thought I heard another race has been called getting us to 218. But now I am seeing it is still not official. AND! (no surprise) the Dems are cheating and all kinds of "post-election ballots" are magically appearing and some previously called races, in favor of the Repub, may be or will be reversed.

Re: 2022 Mid-term Elections
According to YouTuber Steve Turley the official count has the GOP at 219, giving us command of the House. I hope this holds. Nothing surprises me anymore and I know the Dems' cheating machine has been working overtime to "find" new ballots.

Hoping the 2022 Georgia runoff isn't stolen as well. But then I was HOPING to win the $2 billion lottery too, so you see where HOPE gets me...:icon_roll:

I saw a comment today about how weak the Repubs are. This poster compared the two parties to two football teams: The Dems play to win, the Repubs. play not to lose. Sounds kinda familiar, doesn't it!

Pretty spot on.
They always say the right things while campaigning, but do nothing they promised once elected. Nobody trusts them anymore.
If they are in the minority, they will normally cast meaningless votes designed to "send a message", but in the majority they become frightened of their own shadow.
Trump got elected by feasting on the bloated carcass of the party. If they had any real leaders, he wouldn't have had a chance to win the nomination. Then, while attempting to pass things they claimed to want, they fought him and participated in the character assassination party the dems threw for him over his entire presidency. They even attempted to thwart his nomination in 2016 (voted on by their very constituents) by recruiting Ted Cruz (a guy I was actually willing to go vote for before that happened) to muddy the waters and cause a contested convention so they could appoint Jeb Bush as their representative in the general election.

RINOs and haters
Re: 2022 Mid-term Elections
RINO - Republican In Name Only
Hmmm...it is time to cast this term aside or change its meaning. Seems to me to be "Republican" in name means to be a Swamper, a do-nothing. RINOs, well establishment Republicans, are part of the problem. Mitch McConnell is a great example of this mess. First, I will acknowledge he did a credible job holding the line during the chaotic SC nominations, well, Senator Glassley was in charge of that process, but McConnell stood his ground when challenged about the nominees. Okay...but beyond that McConnell is all about McConnell which was clearly demonstrated with his selective support/non-support of senate candidates.
And that, in a nutshell, is what's wrong with our political/governing system. Without term limits politicians are only concerned with their careers, their huge money-takes (ahem), and their power. On both sides of the aisle "Swampers" get entrenched in power and they do all they can to keep it. This is why I have, and will, support Trump for POTUS. It's also why The Swamp fights against him so hard. Trump doesn't need the lobbyists' money and he has no interest in building a political machine to control matters for decades.
About half the country sells its soul to the devil that is The Swamp and buys the lies told about Trump. These people are mostly brain-dead (and we have several who post here...or used to) and believe all the made-up bad things about him. Most of these folks think the Germans attacked Pearl Habor and we beat the Japs in the "Civil War." :icon_roll: But they vote as they are instructed to by the bimbos on The View.
Anyway, back to the point, being a "Republican" carries very little meaning. Like Sean Hannity says, "I am not a Republican, I am a patriotic conservative."
