He is a total failure.
That said, it makes me sick that the RINOs are going to benefit from all of this, even though they supported it all along. They benefited from Trump's strong leadership while trying to play both sides of the fence, then they benefited from Jan 6th by jumping on board with the partisan dem stupidity, now they stand to benefit by kind of being from the opposition party of the failure occupying the White House. They are truly the party of nothing.
Mitch will be running the senate soon and will pay no price for being a do-nothing obstructionist.
I'm worried that if GOP gets house, they will elect Kevin McCarthy as Speaker, which could be as bad as Paul Ryan or Boehner was. Both of those RINOs undermined Trump from the beginning.
Have you guys also noticed two people who were very vocal against Trump.. have basically disappeared?? Even they can't defend this admin that they voted for..
What planet did you just come from? The rinos and democrats fought Trump on everything he did and a lot of shit they made up. And, then he had to endure an election loaded with the most fraud in the history of our country. They must have long necks on your planet because you've definitely got your head up your ass.
Seriously? You've been watching too much TV.
I am not a democrat, nor a republican. I think both parties treat serious issues like an athletic competition. As long as THEY win, all is good. The fact that you believe I need to be one or the other tells me the depth of your thought process.
We got crap (make that CRAP) like Obamacare because republicans ignored issues within our healthcare system. They did nothing, so we got the worst thing imaginable. Then they ran on replacing that crap, and in the end did nothing again.
Think of the immigration system. It's broken. The repubs will do nothing and we will eventually get amnesty for all, which will only lead to millions more showing up at the border uninvited.
I could go on, but logic would be lost on you.
If you want to post, at least try to put your thoughts together.
Biden hasn’t been a total failure. Bad, but not a failure.
The ones you consider RINOs mostly voted for everything from Trump and against everything from Biden. One or two examples otherwise doesn’t change anything.
Trump did not provide “strong leadership” for us.
Only those in denial have seen any benefit from Jan. 6.
Government doing nothing is what you want, so why complain?
Trump’s wall was not a solution.
I agree, except with your first three sentences; but I don’t think you need to be on one side or the other. I said you sound like a Democrat because, of all people, you called McConnell an obstructionist, of which he has only been with Obama and Biden (for better and worse).
Then why do you have such full-throat support of them? Don’t forget, Obamacare was what it was because Democrats kept editing it to appease Republicans. And then every single Republican still voted against it. They didn't replace it because they had no plan to do so that would work or had any support/popularity. Just ending it wasn't an option.
Maybe you’ll agree that ending lobbying and getting money out of politics might be a good step to fixing things?
I agree it's broken, though we probably disagree some on the why and the fixes.
We need some form of amnesty for those who are already here, especially the ones who kept out of trouble, started families, have strong ties to their community, etc. They can pay a fine and go through a modified process. And yes, it’s something that needs to be done every so often. Illegal immigration cannot be 100% stopped but there are ways that it can be curbed that doesn’t come down to us being cruel and inhumane. We
Illegal immigration cannot be 100% stopped but there are ways that it can be curbed that doesn’t come down to us being cruel and inhumane.
What!? ya mean no motion-detector machineguns? You haven't played Fallout 4 then...
I disagree. If you just assess a penalty and then let people stay, then what is the incentive for others to refrain from trying to sneak in a just lay low long enough to raise a family and develop ties to a community of that and a fine is all it takes to get away with it? I think you send people home no matter how long they have been here illegally or how many kids and grandkids they have here.
I completely disagree that some kind of amnesty is in order.
First you must secure the border as well as you possibly can. You must stop the flow of illegals into the country. You can't do anything with immigration policy until this is done. This is what Trump was doing, and it was the right thing to do.
Next you have to address future immigration policy. I have no issues with increasing the number of immigrants allowed in, but along with that you MUST make it ugly for those attempting to circumvent your policy and come anyway.
Once you have done all of that, you can address those that snuck across the border (or flew in and just never left) aided by drug cartels and coyotes that used them for their own purposes. They must never be given citizenship or green cards or have the opportunity to appreciate the benefits of being an American. I could see giving the children brought here before they had the ability to fend for themselves some sort of opportunity to obtain a green card and pay additional taxes on what they earn each year.
The idea that just getting across the border entitles you to government benefits is not the way to stop this kind of thing.
I'd change the law so that being birthed in a US hospital does not make you a citizen, either. It's my understanding that amendment was put in there to make sure former slaves did not suffer further atrocities once they gained their freedom. It was not put there to entice pregnant women to pay a coyote to get them across the border.
If you don't control your border, someone else does. Right now it's Mexican drug cartels and coyotes making a fortune and endangering Americans. This seems more cruel and inhumane than anything else I've heard.
Good post!
DOW on worst streak since 1923 - CNBC
I don't have the stock market stats (history) in front of me and just saw this flashed across the bottom of the screen on CNBC. The market has been rather volatile recently, but I didn't think it had risen to such historical levels (of concerns). And yes, while I can also post this on the "Investing" thread, it seems more appropriate to post here on the Sleepy Joe thread.
Fits right in with the rest of the WH staff.
Media Critic On New WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre: "Amateur Hour" (thegatewaypundit.com)
The US is all over the place with this issue. The policy is really just jumbled crap.
First of all, how can we state we support the "One China" policy that includes acknowledging Taiwan (officially known as the Republic of China) as a part of that "one China" under the PRC, but vow to not allow the internationally recognized government of this "one China" to exert it's ruling power over Taiwan? That would be like China threatening us for imposing governmental rule over one of our states.
Then, as our Navy starts becoming a bit long in the tooth, we get a statement on the international stage that we will support Taiwan's independence (which we have already agreed they do not have by our support of the "one China" policy) with our military. My guess is that such an endeavor would be more like what we experienced in the Philippines during WW2 in that we could not effectively stop them from moving in and taking over and would have to move in after the fact and try to extricate them.
I remember when Trump took a congratulatory phone call from the leader of Taiwan, and the media could not stop whining about what a mistake it was because of the US position on China policy.
Biden makes a disgusting partisan speech in the wake of 18 murdered children...maybe we can just refer to them as being "aborted" and move on.
Maybe he should have mentioned the police defunding campaign led by the democrats that likely led to SRO people being removed from schools (because the presence of law enforcement in schools is so triggering).
Until we move on from this narcissistic generation this will continue to happen. They don't believe in God, probably have no less than 500 selfies on their telephones (looking for likes on social media), and believe some other generation is the cause of all their problems.
If anything, my generation might have had a hand in their vacoussness by giving them participation trophies and telling them everything they do is wonderful. Much of that was fed by guilt for having both parents working and sending them to daycare centers and after school care because it took two incomes for most to make ends meet.
And, here's a little food for thought. Just throwing this out for discussion.
The law has established all these so-called "protected groups" that provide special consideration and protection for in all matters. These groups include women, 50+% of the population. All "minorities", blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans, etc...another chunk of the population, maybe 20-25%. Of course, there are special protections for "the handicap" (ADA). The gays have won some special protections too! There is, at least on paper, protection for the older crowd, age discrimination protection for the 40+ crowd...another segment of the population, 10-15% (not already covered). And various other special "protections" afforded some folks...
Now, who are ALL OF THESE people being protected from? Well, which demographic is the ONLY one left out? White males under the age of 40, who are not handicapped, not Hispanic, and not some other special group. All told, maybe 15% of the population. Altogether the "protected" groups represent 85% of the population...and are classified as "minorities." While the 15% is labeled as the oppressing "majority."
The shooter (the asshole) in Texas has some Hispanic family connections, which, you notice, has not been mentioned. So, he doesn't fit the description exactly. Being from North Dakota maybe he associated himself as a non-Hispanic white dude. He just didn't know better. Or, maybe he was just a nut case with no affiliations to a demographic group. But the Buffalo idiot and the one in Charleston some years ago, fit the description perfectly. And who are they? Why, disenfranchised white males under 40, the ONLY demographic not part of some "protected" group.
Now, let me hasten to add, I have not seen this mentioned anywhere, not by some kooky psychobabble pundit on CNN...well, come to think of it, CNN wouldn't want anything such thoughts expressed. They run with "white dudes are evil," period. I have not read an article mentioning this statistical reality. This is all my own KOOKY thoughts. Which I first realized when I used to attend the mandatory real estate courses on "fair housing." The ONLY group a landlord, or real estate agent, can discriminate against without repercussions, are the under-40 white males mentioned. Everyone else is "protected."
I just wonder if some of these young, white males, have been pushed to a breaking point. You know, they are blamed for everything, from slavery, which ended 150+ years ago, to gays and weirdo trans loonies being who they are, etc... Instead of prosecuting the Buffalo shooter, for instance, we should all try to understand his issues. He needs society's love and understanding...right?

Janet Yellen is man enough to admit she was wrong, when will Goosey et al, our resident libtards, man up and admit they were (are) wrong?
Yay the nightmare is over - beaux66
:shocked2:
They’d rather die than admit it. Biden has been the worst POTUS in the history of the nation, even worse than Carter. It’s really sad to watch as people who are close to retiring watch not only their 401K melt like butter on a hot plate, but they also have to watch as prices on everything continue to rise. I’m working with a man that was planning on retiring in the next 18 months, but his 401k has lost a 1/3 of its value since last January. The only thing Biden ever did that could be considered smart is to ask Heels Up Harris to be his bullet proof vest.
Instead of circling back, they are just circling down the drain.

Adult idiots...
I read a lot on the market, stocks, business, the economy, etc...including a very young fellow who is a bit eccentric, uses the handle "Darth Trader" to give tips (without it being investing advice...:icon_roll: he says) on buying stocks. A couple of weeks ago he published an article about the ever-growing inventories of the big retailers, said Target, Walmart, COSTCO, etc... have been filling their warehouses and that would cause them to have to slash prices to clear it out. He cited orders and back-orders from the year of the pandemic that had not been filled, due in part to the supply chain issues, but now suppliers are saying, hey! remember all that stuff you ordered (contracted for) back in 2020? Well we are shipping it now, so please pay us for it. Ole Darth predicted troubled waters for the big box stores, stock prices dropping. I wasn't sure how serious I should take someone named "Darth Trader," but he nailed it.
This could be posted on the Stock Investing thread, but this also focuses on inflation, the arena of Sleepy Joe and his merry band of dingalings. Hello Janet Yellen!
With gas prices at these levels, a lot of retail and restaurant workers are making nothing by going in to work. You can look for the labor shortage to get much worse in the coming months.
Went to a local eatery today and they are now closing at 3 PM (no dinner served) and closed entirely on Saturday so employees can have a day off - all because they are unable to hire enough employees.
Stock market is tanking, inflation hits a 40-year high, gasoline prices are at all-time highs...but none of it is Biden's fault.
Waiting patiently for the leftist media to give the same attention to a guy who gets lost in the azaleas, walks into a random Internet cafe, and falls up stairs as they do a guy who didn’t hold a glass of water just perfectly.
Expert economists expected this index to hold at the May figure of 58.4. Instead it crashed to a record low 50.2.
Also the readings of current conditions and expectations for the future fell sharply. The current conditions index fell to 55.4 from 63.3 at the end of May. The expectations gauge crashed to 46.8 from 55.5.

And now today....

Even Cramer has turned on Sleepy Joe. Wow! Believe it or not Cramer has an army of loyal followers who hang on his every word...Boo yah! They will now turn on Biden, and the dems, as well.
This economic collapse was predictable, in fact, it was predicted! But the bad "Orange Man" had to go, no matter what. Well, here's your "no matter what."
The worst 8-year tenure of any POTUS in history is obummer's. The economy grew, well, it staggered at an anemic 1.2% annually, but that rate over 8 years is the worst record in history. Now under Biden the economy is shrinking, which it did 1.5% for Q1 2022. A recession is coming and due to his (or whomever's) socialist policies the economy will not be able to bounce back with zeal. At best, the very best, we can hope for is anemic growth coming out of the recession.
Shame on all who supported, and cheated for, Sleepy Joe. Eff you!
Yep. And a good deal of it is fossil fuel related, and it's entirely his baby. Him blaming Putin is laughable. Inflation was already near these levels before Putin ever set foot in Ukraine.
He started his administration by killing a pipeline from Canada, reversing the decision to allow drilling in Alaska, scrapping lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico, and putting a mile of quicksand in front of any drilling permits. Then he said that oil and gas executives should be put in jail for pollution.
Now he is blaming shipping companies that have to pay these fuel prices for inflation. Blames oil and gas companies for the price of oil and gas (when he artificially caused the shortage). Blames friggin gas stations for gouging on gas prices (when the federal government's take from each sale eclipses the amount made by the gas station owner).
And the dims in congress refuse to call him out for any of it. That party should be demolished.
The part of this inflation that is not related to energy is directly attributable to government spending. Some of that came under Trump when he was backed into shutting down the US economy to "stop the spread" of a virus that was not particularly deadly to begin with (not discounting that some people were harmed greatly by it, but it wasn't what they said it was).
The most ignorant part of that spending, however, was throwing 1.9 trillion dollars at an economy that was growing by 6+ percent at the time. In an Orwellian way, that package was called the "American Rescue Plan", and in effect had just the opposite effect. The chickens have come home to roost.
If you believe this is all related to Putin, then Biden is the guy for you. You deserve no better!
Unfortunately, once they figured out how to steal the election using COVID as cover for ballot stuffing, we get the same thing they got.
Had our representatives (the good old GOP) actually looked into how the election was conducted and voiced their objections on our behalf, we might have gotten better. But they sat on their hands, which is why idiots like Romney, Cassidy, McCain and their ilk will never make me leave my home to vote for them. I figure we can all rot in hell together rather than give them the effort it would take to let me rot in hell by myself.

The current inflation rate is over 17% if the same metrics used in the 1980's were applied today. Don't like the answer? Alter the question! It's the "swamp way" of doing business.
Nothing "unexpected" about it except for economists with their heads in the sand or buried somewhere else.

Letter to our wonderful president:
My IRA has now dropped 21% since Trump left office and that's not counting today. Thank you President Biden. I'm sure all the LGBTQ? are happy today after you signed that important bill for their rights. Looking forward to the food shortage and power outages. I am thinking about buying a generator and tilling up all this grass in my yard and planting a garden. It feels so good to be a third world country.
I bet Hunter is really proud of you as well as you are so proud of him. I bet he is really appreciative that you have promoted bringing all those drugs across our southern border. You know he does love his cocaine. You do need to talk to him about having that semi-auto pistol with a 17 round clip and having his finger on the trigger while he's doing cocaine and having sex with one of his hookers. Maybe you could loan him the VP when he runs out of money for hookers since she doesn't have anything to do these days. We all know she's now been to Europe and the southern border, so, she's got some free time and she's always done her best work on her back.
Sincerely yours,

From 2020.. I am truly amazed at how much damage this man and his policies have done to the country in such a short time..
I have been reading some biographical articles on various presidents and some of the controversial decisions they made, the context and ramifications of them, and what the press and the populace thought of it all back then compared to what historians think of said decisions now. Pretty interesting stuff...if you're into such historical analysis.
I can say with a great deal of confidence that Joe Biden will be remembered as one of the worst POTUS in American history. Many think he has already locked up the #1 slot as ALL-TIME WORST. He's definitely following the path to that "lofty" status.
Another intentional act by the Biden admin to kill liberties..
No more surplus Lake City ammo
Apparently not content with its efforts so far to make gun ownership more difficult and expensive for America’s 100 million firearm owners, a source tells TTAG that the Biden administration is taking steps to reduce the availability of .223/5.56 ammunition available to the average shooter.
A person with knowledge of the situation tells us that, more than just “considering” the move, Winchester, which operates the US Army’s Lake City ammunition plant, has been informed that it may no longer sell M855 and SS109 ammunition produced in excess of the military’s needs on the civilian market.
How would that affect the civilian supply of .223 and 5.56 ammunition? We understand that as much as 30% of the commercial market’s sales volume of .223/5.56 is produced by Lake City.
